🎶 Alliance Française de Colombo warmly congratulates our student choir, whose members have been enthusiastically rehearsing for weeks, learning French songs, discovering more about French music, and developing their choral singing skills.

🎤 They proudly represented Alliance Française de Colombo at the Concert des Écoles during Fête de la Musique 2026 at Bishop’s College, Colombo. Last weekend, they also performed at the French Market at La Maison de Colombo, adding a delightful French flair and musical touch to the event.

👏 We extend our sincere thanks to Monsieur Fiston for his tireless dedication in training the student choir of Alliance Française de Colombo and inspiring them to sing in French. Thank you to the dear teachers of the Alliance who encouraged the students to participate in the choir, and many compliments to the students for their enthusiastic engagement and creative spirit.

Fête de la Musique 2026 | Concert des Écoles

🎶 A joyful afternoon of music, language, and culture! The Alliance Française de Colombo and the APF Sri Lanka - Association of French language Teachers along with the French Club of Bishop’s College, Colombo were delighted to celebrate Fête de la Musique 2026 on Friday, June 19th, at Main Hall of Bishop’s College — our gracious host school.

🎤 Students from state and international schools from all over Sri Lanka lit up the stage with vibrant ensemble performances. From classic to modern French songs, the spirit of music truly brought everyone together.

💫 Opera & Wellbeing Workshop
Social and emotional equilibrium through operatic storytelling

🎭 Over two evenings, young participants explored opera as a tool for self-expression, reflection, and emotional wellbeing.

🎶 From discovering operatic storytelling and performance techniques to sharing their voices in a special showcase for family and friends, these workshops created a space for creativity, confidence, and connection.
