🎨 Meet the Artist: Shashi H. Wijesooriya or Shashi Wijesooriya

Shashi Wijesooriya is an illustrator with a background in 🧠 Psychology and a deep passion for 📚 children’s books. She believes that stories and pictures can support emotional growth, creativity, and imagination in young minds — combining her love for both art 🎨 and child development 👶.

Outside of art, Shashi is also passionate about 🏃‍♀️ sports, especially athletics 🏅. She was the former captain 🏆 of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura Elle team, showing her dedication and leadership both on and off the field.

Her illustrations are often ✏️ playful and expressive, inspired by the energy of children 👧👦 and the spirit of sports ⚽. Through her work, she hopes to bring 🌟 positivity and encouragement to every story she helps tell.

🎨 Meet the Artist: yumeokoete (Sachie Disanayaka)

Sachie Disanayaka, known online as yumeokoete, is a self-taught character artist from 🇱🇰 Sri Lanka. Though she holds a 🎓 Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, her true passion lies in creating art — especially ✏️ drawing and designing original characters.

She’s especially interested in 📚 children’s books and hopes her illustrations can help bring stories to life. Her style is 🎨 soft and expressive, with a focus on ❤️ emotions and storytelling.

From now on, Sachie will also be sharing more of her drawings on the DraDo page — including 🖼️ behind-the-scenes sketches, 👧 character designs, and 🛠️ work-in-progress art.
