"Can You Feel The Love Tonight" is a timeless melody composed by Elton John for the 1994 animated film, The Lion King. Released as a single in May 1994, it won multiple accolades, including the Academy Award for Best Original Song and the Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.

It speaks of a tender relationship between two individuals, finding the refuge of each other in the heat of a conflicted and busy world. It touches on the power of building love between people from all walks of life, no matter the kinds of differences.

"Master Sir" is a Sinhalese Pop song written by songwriter Nimal Mendis for the film "Kalu Diya Dahara" in which it was performed over the title sequence by Neela Wickremasinghe. It has remained a hit for over thirty years in Sri Lankan mainstream entertainment, producing timeless renditions of the song.

It speaks of the strained relationship between workers and colonial masters during the British-ruled Sri Lanka. The singer, who assumes the role of a worker, prays that one day the bitterness of their interactions would evaporate and blossom one of indifference and camaraderie.

A smooth, romantic and toe-tapping number, "Mistletoe" is a light-hearted and festive depiction of comfort with loved ones, against a backdrop of snow, bells and yuletide feel.

Illustrating the magic and hopefulness of Christmas, Petit Garçon "Little Boy" (also known as Little Toy Trains) is a yuletide melody penned in 1967 by Roger Miller. The French lyrics are by Graeme Allwright and date back to 1968.

It depicts Father Christmas coming down the chimney, and the titular character anticipating his arrival, as his mother urges him to take rest and patiently await the bounty of gifts in his sleigh.

"Winter Wonderland" is a song written in 1934 by Felix Bernard and lyricist Richard Bernhard Smith. Due to its seasonal theme, it is often regarded as a Christmas song in the Northern Hemisphere. Since its original recording by Richard Himber, it has been covered by over 200 different artists.

Its lyrics are about a couple's romance during the winter season. The lyricist envisions their romantic engagement in the backdrop of a cold, snowy winter, painting a warm and festive image.

Come see us at "O Come Let Us Adore Him" on the 19th of November, 2024 from 7 p.m. onwards, at the Bishop's College Auditorium.

This is a charitable venture spearheaded by The Rays of Hope Foundation, in support of Live, Love, Give, Word of Deed Lanka and the Lanka Prison Fellowship for the many causes they uphold.
