A magical moment in the Maasai Mara!
The ever impressive male lion Mrefu and the Rekero lioness Mikunjo secludedly spending time together in the vast open plains framed in golden colors by the sun. They make sure that there’s a next generation of lions to roam the wilderness in the future.
The contrast between male and female is impressive here, mostly highlighted by his massive mane which is one of the biggest among all male lions of the Maasai Mara. Mikunjo, now six years old, is a daughter of the legendary musketeer male lions of which Scarface was a part of and thus it’s great to see that his genes are still strong in the reserve!
