“Folk Tells” through the eyes of my spirited friend 🌸
exhibited back in Feb-March
super energized by the reception, conversations and encounters through this exhibition & space 🍃.
especially since this was my first.
came home with only two paintings 🤯
now, slowing down to finish up a few bodies of work & projects I’ve been yearning to do.
p.s. I can’t being to express my gratitude to everyone who made this exhibition happen, to those who showed up & shared support in various forms.
so here goes a very limited list;
.me for the invite to exhibit at their beautiful, thoughtful space.
for hosting me in Ahangama for a month (& about a million other things) & especially for keeping me grounded through it all.
crew for help with the “Folk Tells” Zine.
for being my sounding board since the inception of this body of work in 2020
dans for being my creative-partner in exploring the feminine archetypes/folk stories for this series.
and to you, thank you for supporting a local, independent, & self-taught artist in your own way; from buying a painting to spreading the word.
