'Iwan' for Culture and Dialogue, an initiative that aims to support social cohesion and enhance human security in Tripoli. It was implemented within the project

to create a space for peace, by 'International Alert', and funded by the Human Security Department of the Swiss Embassy, Lebanon.

أقام مركز إيوان للثقافة والحوار ورشة عمل، تحت عنوان "Photo-Voice"، تكوّنت من مرحلتين نظرية وعملية على مدى ثلاثة أسابيع، و ذلك بمشاركة مجموعة متنوعة من الشباب و الشابّات من عدة جنسيات في مدينة طرابلس، حيث عرضَ المتدربون/ات مواضيعهم عن العنف الجماعي عبر صورة أو رسمة قاموا بالتقاطها أو رسمها من الواقع المعيشي وتم النقاش حولها.

‘Iwan’ Center for Culture and Dialogue held a workshop, under the title "Photo-Voice", which consisted of two theoretical and practical phases over a period of three weeks, with the participation of a diverse group of youths of several nationalities in Tripoli, where the trainees presented their topics on community violence through a picture or drawing that they took or drew from real life followed by a discussion.

أقام مركز إيوان للثقافة والحوار، ورشةً تدريبيّة مُكثّفة بعنوان "مهارات التواصل الاجتماعي"، يومي 12، 14 آذار 2022، لمجموعة شباب وشابّات من جنسيات وخلفيات متنوعة، حيث تعرّف المتدربون/ات على عناصر الشخص المُتحدّث، والتي تتضمن مهارات الصوت، لغة الجسد، المحتوى.
كما شاركوا في نهاية الورشة بتجارب عملية، قدّم من خلالها كل متدرب ومتدربة عرضاً لأفكارهم ومواضيعهم، وفقاً لما تعلموه خلالها.

‘Iwan’ Center for Culture and Dialogue held an intensive workshop entitled "Social Communication Skills", on March 12-14, 2022, for a group of young people of various nationalities and backgrounds. The trainees got acquainted with the elements of a public speaking, which includes voice skills, body language, and other practical skills.
At the end, they also participated in real life examples, during which each trainee presented their ideas and topics, based on what they learned during the workshop.

ضِمن أنشطة "نادي القراءة" في مركز "إيوان" للثقافة والحوار، تمت مناقشة كتاب "عائد إلى حيفا" لصاحبه غسان كنفاني، بحضور مجموعة من الشباب والشابات، وتم التطرق إلى العديد من المواضيع و التي يطرحها الكتاب، كما تمّت مناقشة أسلوب الكاتب ولغة الكتابة وطريقة السرد القصصي، إلى جانب تحليل بعض الرموز التي تم إيرادها في الكتاب مثل رمزية تغيير جرس البيت... حظيت الجلسة بنقاش تفاعلي دام لأكثر من ساعة ونصف، شارك فيها الحضور بعض أرائهم وتجاربهم الشخصية فيما جاء فيه الكتاب.

Within ‘Reading Club’ in ‘Iwan’ for culture and dialogue, the book "Returning to
Haifa" by Ghassan Kanafani was discussed at Iwan Center for Culture and Dialogue in the presence of a group of youth. Discussions around the issues mentioned in the book took place.
The writer's style, language and storytelling approach were also discussed. In addition, some symbols that were mentioned in the book are being analyzed, such as the symbolism of "changing the house bell"... The session had an interactive discussion that lasted for more than an hour and a half, in which the attendees shared some of their opinions and personal experiences.

أقام مركز "إيوان" للثقافة والحوار دورة تدريبية على مدى أربعة أيّام، بهدف دعم التماسك الاجتماعي والتنمية من خلال "الأعمال اليدوية" (11، 12، 18، 19 آذار 2022)، وذلك بمشاركة سيّدات من مختلف الجنسيات في طرابلس.
وتضمّنت الأعمال اليدوية حياكة الصوف وصناعة الاكسسوارات، وتخللها أنشطة تفاعلية.

'Iwan' for culture and dialogue implemented a four-day workshop to promote social cohesion and development through ‘craft work’ (11, 12, 18, 19 March 2022). With the participation of women from various nationalities in Tripoli. The activity included knitting, and making accessories, with a touch of interactive activities.

عرَضَ نادي إيوان السينمائي فيلم "Parasite"، يوم الأثنين ٧ آذار ٢٠٢٢، وذلك بحضور مجموعة من الشباب والشابّات في مدينة طرابلس.
و يتناول فيلم "parasite" نمط حياة عائلتَيْن من خلفيات طبقية مختلفة، كما يطرح الفيلم مسألة الفقر والارتقاء الاجتماعي.
تلى العرض جلسة نقاش ممتعة وغنيّة بين المشاهدات/ين حول الفيلم ومضمونه ورسالته.

I Iwan Cinema Club played "Parasite" on Monday 7 March 2022, in the presence of a group of youth in Tripoli.
The film deals with the lifestyle of two families from different class backgrounds, and sheds the light on the issues of poverty and social advancement.
The show was followed by an interesting and rich discussion among the watchers about the film's content and message.
