How do we not lose hope?

How and what do we prioritize when everything seems horrible?

How do we stay sane?

What do we deal with rage/burnout/confusion?

For those who feel deeply affected by the current situation of our land...

who want to do more or change something...

and for those who are doing too much and everyone in between...

this is a grassroots, emergent space.

When: Tuesday, May 5
Time : 7 pm

Where: Barzahk, Hamra

It will be:

a safe space for questions, discussion, and sharing feelings

A drop-in gathering which is currently bi-weekly

A place for community-building, support, resource-sharing, and actually doing.

We are far stronger when we have like-minded people to connect with.

Facilitated by Samar Zebian, cognitive scientist, meditation teacher, and community weaver; and Natalie Karneef, meditation teacher, community builder and activist.

(We welcome and encourage additional facilitators in the future!)

In Arabic and English with translation.

Free, although purchase of food or drink at the venue is encouraged to show our appreciation for the space.

Dearest friends and community,

We are heartbroken to be right where we were 2 years ago, but same as before we cannot sit idle.
The number of displaced people in Lebanon is increasing daily so we have started the aid initiative again to provide them with food during the holy month of ramadan.

We are taking any and all donations, from raw materials, blankets, mattresses, any amount of money will help.

We plan to continue these efforts, but we urgently need your support.

We aim to provide as many meals per day as possible, in addition to other vital supplies, through our staff and a devoted army of volunteers, and in collaboration with grassroots organizations and local businesses. Any contribution will make a difference. Donations can be made via a safe credit card payment or sent via Western Union.

Thank you, and in solidarity.

Join us for a book signing at Barzakh Bookshop on Saturday, February 28 at 4PM with Mai Serhan, author of “I Can Imagine It for Us: A Palestinian Daughter’s Memoir.”

In this powerful memoir, Serhan reflects on family, inheritance, exile, and what it means to imagine a shared future shaped by dignity and possibility. A deeply personal story of growing up Palestinian and holding on to hope.

This will be a book signing only — no talk or discussion.

We look forward to seeing you. ✨

Wednesday evening 11th of February

“Frida and the tribe”

Carried by her two pillars of rhythm and soul, Patrick (.w.g.a_) & Patrick (),
Frida invites us into another evening of music, elevation, and heart-opening tunes.

Her music weaves together all the genres that make her soul happy and her body move, from balads that soften the chest
to grooves that wake up the feet,
and everything in between.

This concert is an invitation to be fully here, rooted in the now,
connected to the moment and to everything around us - and to let the music do what it does best:
open, lift, and transform.

We’ll also be joined by guest musicians, opening the songs into new textures and fresh conversations. Expect incredible artists, even more incredible humans ;)
Shall we tell you who they are…
or keep the magic as a surprise?
Tell us in the comments ✨

Doors open 8:30 PM
Concert starts 9:00 PM

Band charge 15$

Limited seating. Early reservation is strongly recommended. Please write to us on our Facebook or Instagram page for booking.
For tickets payment it can be at Barzakh space or Whish application
