What have you seen during your life that changed you forever?
This piece from my "Justice is Blind." series explores how our deepest traumas become embedded in us. They dictate how we breathe and how we cope.
The blindfold here isn't just fabric; it’s a bandage. It represents not just the physical wounds of history, but a collective, desperate attempt to heal. We try to cover it up, but beneath the gauze, the visual ghosts of a lifetime of non-stop trauma remain trapped—painted permanently onto our eyes.
A lifetime of looking at things that should never have been seen.
Acrylic on canvas.
