Founded in 2013 by the director and choreographer Mounir Malaeb. Mounir Malaeb started his journey with the art of movement in 1980. His art contri
buted to the local Festivals of Baalbek, Beit El Dine, Tyre, Tripoli and many others. He also presented his art in several American, European and Asian Festivals: U.S.A. Texas, Mexico, Brazil, Greece, Malaysia...
He also participated in several Arab cities whereby he was rewarded several honor awards: Festivals of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ein, Babylon, Aleppo, Busra, Damascus, Doha...
In 1996, Mounir formed his dance group: Rajana Veda Lebanese Dance Group and embarked on his quest to realise his vision of the Lebanese Folkloric spirit. He choreographed and directed several plays including all the plays by Rajana Veda Lebanese Dance Group: Tajaeed, Rayat, Adivana, Nour Al Sharq, Ahad Al Lubnaneyeen...
He choreographed the play "Ornina" at the Unesco Palace and the Ivoire Theater. He choreographed the video clip "The Beast" starring DEMIS ROUSSOS. He composed, choreographed and directed "Nour Al Sharq" and "Ahad Al Lubnaneyeen" and wrote all its poetry and lyrics and composed some of its tunes. Mounir Malaeb participated in the leading role of "Al Bousta" movie with a group of famous Lebanese artists (Philippe Arectingi, Nadine Labaki...) He was the guest in Houston Folklore and Oriental Dance Festival in 2017 where he did many workshops. Mounir Malaeb is a professional Folk Dance and Dabkeh Judge with the Lebanese Dance Sport Federation. He was a member of Caracalla Dance Group (1992-2000). Mounir Malaeb is a Folklore instructor in the Lebanese American University (LAU) and American University of Beirut (AUB). Mounir Malaeb is the owner of Rajana Veda Dance Academy- Aley, Lebanon (since 2013).
