Freshly harvested from Mueang Fueang and transported all the way to Vientiane Capital, over 200 kg of fresh indigo leaves arrived safely at the museum. 💙

Our team quickly collected and washed the leaves to prepare new indigo vats, while also selecting healthy branches for future cultivation.

Despite the long journey, the indigo remained fresh and ready for the next stage of the natural dye process.

Every harvest carries knowledge, labor, and tradition from the fields to the dye vats — continuing the living heritage of Lao indigo.

This project, “Indigo Offcuts to Wonder,” is a collaboration between the Lao Culture Preservation and Promotion Association (LCPPA), Keeps.loudder, and the Lao Textile Museum, working together to promote sustainable design, support local artisans, and encourage a more conscious approach to fashion and textile production.
