This video is a tribute to Majaz on the occasion of his birth anniversary - 19th October
Although nearly a century apart, both Sir Syed Ahmed Khan and Majaz were born in October, Sir Syed on October 17th, and Majaz on October 19th. In this tribute to the "Keats" of Urdu poetry, Majaz, I have included rare and precious video clips featuring Hamida Salim (Hamida Apa), Majaz’s sister, and his close friend, Ali Sardar Jafri. These moments bring Majaz’s legacy to life, alongside a recitation of his iconic poem, "Awara."
