People close to me call me Honey and I'd love you to call me by that name. I’m an IT professional in data and analytics, who decided to pursue one of my passions - creative arts and made it my side hustle. With my creative pursuit, here’s to hoping that it will bring warmth, delight and joy in every painting design I render and that you may own it as you relate to them. Am based in Singapore, sta

rted with nothing but a passion and my creative dream, humbled by the inspiration my paintings and designs helped others unleash their creative side. Through my painting designs printed in clothes and home essentials that are serving the world, my utmost desire is to help you bring an ordinary day to an extraordinary one by being inspired with it and get delighted that “this design is me!” I’m also here to give encouragement to help you unleash your creative side.

“How did I all start with this journey?” Jobless that time and all have the days, I thought of helping a missionary friend raise funds. I started with watercolor using painting materials that I can only afford. I explored acrylics painting as well, using the small budget I have. I discovered the sleeping creative side of me awakened while going through the process. The early signs of artistry during childhood went “Sleeping Beauty” when my eyes witnessed the reality of the world. Little did I know that something bigger was waiting for me. When I started “auctioning” my paintings, the door smoothly opened wide and people were showing interest in it and asking for the price. The paintings were well-received with the message and the story conveyed behind each of them. Plus, it gave joyful emotions that made the receiver say “I can relate to your painting!”

Driven with joy my paintings brought to every receiver, I thought to share the bliss to the whole world by taking it to the next level - a clothing and home essentials custom printed with my paintings. From no formal training in art and business, juggling around my corporate job and the pandemic, I took a leap of faith to push for my creative pursuit. I am proof of a multi-passionate woman that will make a way if there’s a will, in pursuing creativity and sharing it to the whole world. All these led me to you! My ultimate goal is to help you bring an ordinary day to an extraordinary one with the delight of “this design is so me!” from my paintings and designs. They are carefully painted with you in mind. I’m also here to give encouragement to help you unleash your creative side. Yes, this is a business. Yes, I sell things. And yes, I’m proud and deeply grateful to earn a living doing so. However, THANKS TO YOU(!), yes you, reading this, I’m able to provide some of the best content and resources for free. I didn’t realize what this painting was about until I finished it.

My ordinary days often begin with quiet moments along the river.

A morning walk.
A little jogging in the field.
Journaling.
Taking a few moments to clear my mind and reset.

Since moving into a slower rhythm of life, I’ve learned to appreciate these seemingly ordinary moments more.

I used to think a good day had to be productive to be meaningful.

Now, sometimes, a good day simply starts with being present.

There’s something about starting the morning slowly — getting some movement, clearing my thoughts, and choosing what I want to carry into the day — that sets the pace for everything that follows.

And perhaps that’s what this painting became for me.

A reminder that an ordinary day can still be worth remembering. 🌿🎨

Apparently, I learn Korean better when I draw it. 🎨🇰🇷Instead of just memorizing 색깔 (colors), I started turning the words into little drawings. It’s a simple way of learning, but somehow the words stick better when I can connect them to an image.Still learning Korean. Still making mistakes. Still finding creative ways to remember. 🤍How do you remember new vocabulary—or learn something that doesn’t quite stick? 👇learn Korean • Korean vocabulary • Korean colors • Korean language learning • learning Korean in Korea • visual learning • creative learning • learning through art

A painting of a life-changing moment at Jeongbang Waterfall, Jeju Island—the moment I said “Yes,” and life changed after that. 🤍

Life was never perfect. But it became a journey that taught me to grow, to become braver through dark seasons, and to witness how God can turn what feels broken into something beautiful.

It constantly reminds me of His faithfulness, love, grace, and mercy.

It also taught me that surrender doesn’t mean losing yourself. Hold on to your God-given identity, boundaries, and mental well-being.

Whether you are single, married, or somewhere in between, life is a constant unfolding. Seasons change. We change. And sometimes, the moments we don’t fully understand become the very stories we later thank God for.

Another painting coaching session unlocked. 🎨✨

This time, I had the joy of guiding a beautiful activity for multicultural families raising bilingual children. Art became a shared language—bringing creativity, connection, and confidence across cultures.

Grateful for another opportunity to serve through art. Thank You, God, for this privilege. 🤍

"You belong. You've been this brave all along. What broke you once made you strong." — "Dai Dai" by Shakira & Burna Boy

This painting holds more than a landscape—it holds a season of my life.

Beneath this tree, I cried, prayed, questioned, healed, and slowly learned to give thanks. It witnessed my transition in Korea: from loneliness to belonging, from fear to courage, from merely surviving to quietly flourishing.

It also became a place of unexpected connections—meeting strangers curious about my painting, exchanging English for Korean, and discovering that growth often happens in the most ordinary moments.

Looking back, I realize the journey didn't just change my circumstances. It transformed me—mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. It wasn't easy, but resilience carried me farther than I ever imagined.

If you're in a difficult season, keep going. One day, you'll look back and see that the very place where you felt broken became the place where you grew the strongest.

🌿 What place has witnessed your own transformation? I'd love to hear your story in the comments.

Another unexpected opportunity—this time, as an English conversation speaker for a wonderful group of Koreans learning English. It was inspiring to see a local government program creating a space for language learning and connection. Listening to their simple self-introductions reminded me that every language journey begins with small, courageous steps. As a beginner learning Korean myself, I know how nerve-racking it is to speak a new language. That's why seeing these amazing ladies proudly receive their certificates was especially meaningful. Their progress gives me hope that one day, I'll celebrate my own Korean milestone too.Learning a language isn't about perfection—it's about having the courage to speak.✨ Have you ever learned a new language? Some of the best opportunities come unexpectedly. It was a joy to teach watercolor painting to this lovely group of ladies through an invitation at the family center. What started as a sudden opportunity turned into a wonderful lunch time of creativity, learning, and painting tulips together. There was so much more to share, but that's the beauty of art—it always leaves room for another session.🎨 Keep learning. Keep painting. Keep sharing. What flower would you love to paint in watercolor? Let me know in the comments! 🌷

It was such a privilege to teach faux and brush calligraphy to these young, growing artists. Thank you, .kr, for inviting me to be a guest teacher!Teaching this class became a learning experience for me as well. Each child brought their own unique creativity, personality, and artistic style to every stroke and letter. Watching them explore an unfamiliar English alphabet with curiosity and confidence was both inspiring and heartwarming.Looking back, I wish I had found even more creative ways to make calligraphy fun and engaging for them. But every class teaches us something new, and I’ll be carrying these lessons into my next chapter—wherever that may lead. For now, can we just appreciate how incredibly cute, talented, and heartwarming these little artists are? ❤️✨ Have you ever learned something unexpected while teaching others? “Be still and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10

This verse whispered to my heart as I painted this scene.

A lady sat quietly on my favorite bench, taking a moment to rest. More than just an inspiring subject to paint, she became a gentle reminder that it is okay to pause. In a world that constantly urges us to stay busy, chase deadlines, and keep moving, there is beauty in simply being still.

Sometimes, rest is an act of faith. It is choosing to surrender control, laying down our worries, and trusting God to fight the battles we cannot win on our own. In the quiet moments, we are reminded that His presence is enough and His timing is perfect.

When was the last time you allowed yourself to pause and rest in God's presence? Share your thoughts below. 💙

Plunge into the cool water and strong breeze this summer in Jeju!

My water series - ocean view of Hwanguji Coast, Jeju. Sketched during our trip to Jeju last winter break and finished painting at home. This place is a go-to travel destination if you want to experience four seasons in a week or so especially during the winter. The cold never bothered me anyway. 😄

I love painting water and reflections. There’s more to learn, indeed! Let’s keep painting and just enjoy the process! 🫶🏼
