최근 몇 달간 우리는 점점 더 심화되는 경제적, 정치적 압박으로 인해 많은 분들이 특히 해외 참가자들이 대회 참석을 결정하는 것이 점점 어려워지는 현실을 목격해 왔습니다. 우리는 ILHC에 참가하기 위해 많은 희생과 노력을 감수하는 모든 댄서들과 지지자들의 마음을 깊이 이해하며, 여러분의 헌신을 결코 가볍게 여기지 않습니다. 여러분의 우려를 듣고 있으며, 충분히 공감하고 있습니다. 우리의 목표는 언제나 전 세계 댄스 커뮤니티가 하나 되어 포용적이고 영감을 주는, 그리고 모두가 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 공간을 만드는 것이었으며, 우리가 함께 모일 때 최상의 환경에서 만나길 바랍니다.
이러한 결정을 내리게 되어 매우 아쉽지만, 이것이 우리의 여정의 끝은 아닙니다. 우리는 여전히 여러분께 멋진 경험을 선사하기 위해 최선을 다하고 있으며, 더 많은 분들이 함께할 수 있도록 새로운 방식으로 발전해 나갈 계획입니다.
또한, 커뮤니티와의 연결을 유지하기 위해 다양한 대체 이벤트와 참여 기회를 모색하고 있습니다. 2025년 5월에 예정된 ‘세계 린디합의 날(World Lindy Hop Day)’과 ILHC 온라인 대회(ILHC Virtual Competitions)는 계획대로 진행될 예정이오니 많은 관심과 기대 부탁드립니다.

It is with a heavy heart but also with a deep understanding of the challenges many in our global community now face, that after careful consideration, we regret to announce the postponement of the 2025 ILHC World Finals, which was scheduled to take place in August in Harlem, NY.
In recent months, we have witnessed the increasing financial and political pressures that have made it more difficult for many to commit to attending, especially our international attendees. We fully recognize dancers' and supporters' sacrifices to participate in events like ours, and we do not take those commitments lightly. We hear and understand your concerns. Our goal has always been to create an inclusive, inspiring, and accessible space for our global dance family, and we want to ensure that when we gather, it is under the best possible circumstances.
While we are deeply disappointed, this is not the end of our journey. We remain committed to bringing you an extraordinary event in the future, and we are already working on new ways to adapt and evolve to welcome as many of you as possible when the time is right.
We are exploring alternative events and engagement opportunities to keep our community connected. Our plans for World Lindy Hop Day and the ILHC Virtual Competitions will continue as planned for May 2025—stay tuned for updates!
