[NOTICE] 함미나 작가 첫 작품집 「Mina Ham」 발간

피비갤러리는 함미나 작가의 첫 작품집 「Mina Ham」을 발간합니다.
본 도서는 2016년 초기 작업부터 최근 작업까지를 선별해 수룩한 작품집으로, 인물회화를 중심으로 개인적 기억과 정서의 축적 과정을 탐구해온 함미나 작가의 작업 변화와 조형적 특징을 한 권에 담았습니다. 또한 신지현 큐레이터의 평문 「울고 있는 요정, 총질하는 여성: 함미나의 불완전한 얼굴들」을 국·영문으로 함께 수록하여 비평적 맥락 속에서 작가의 작업을 살펴볼 수 있도록 구성했습니다.

PIBI Gallery is pleased to present Mina Ham’s exhibition 《Badawi》 from March 5 to April 18, 2026, marking her first solo exhibition with the gallery.

Centered on figurative painting, Ham has continuously explored personal memories, emotions, and the process of their accumulation with her unique brush stroke and distinctive color and layers.

피비갤러리는 오는 2026년 3월 5일(목)부터 4월 18일(토)까지 함미나 개인전 《바다위 Badawi》를 오픈합니다.

이번 전시는 인물 회화를 중심으로 독특한 붓질과 색감 등 물리적인 층위를 통해 개인적 기억과 정서의 축적 과정을 지속적으로 탐구해온 함미나 작가의 피비갤러리 첫 개인전입니다.

PIBI Gallery is very much pleased to announce that Jazoo Yang joins the gallery.

Jazoo Yang (b.1979) works across painting, installation, performance, projects, and live painting, primarily in Europe and Seoul. Employing unconventional materials collected from the places she inhabits for her drawing and painting. Yang’s practice extends beyond visual outcomes, incorporating bodily gestures, tactile sensations, and traces of time and place into her work.

📍 Jazoo Yang’s first solo exhibition with PIBI Gallery is scheduled in August 2026.

피비갤러리는 2026년을 맞아 양자주 작가와 함께하게 되었음을 기쁘게 전합니다.

양자주(b.1979)는 유럽과 서울을 중심으로 회화, 설치, 퍼포먼스, 프로젝트, 라이브 페인팅 등 다양한 형식의 작업을 이어오고 있습니다. 머무는 장소에서 채집한 비전통적인 재료를 바탕으로, 그의 작업은 시각적 결과를 넘어 신체의 감각과 시간, 장소의 흔적을 작품 안으로 끌어들입니다.

📍 2026년 8월, 피비갤러리에서 작가의 첫 개인전이 예정되어 있습니다.

피비갤러리 이교준(.kyojun)작가는 서울시립 사진미술관 《사진이 할 수 있는 모든 것》에 참여중입니다.

The work focuses on technically rendering emotional traces embedded in modern life, such as fragments of memory, the residue of relationships, and feelings of loss. By centering on sound and emotion rather than vision, it allows the audience to simultaneously follow someone else’s story and encounter a mirror that reflects their own feelings. In her artist statement, Inhyun Kim explains the emotional root of the work: “Each of us holds beliefs and wishes we long to keep pure and untainted. Amid life’s turmoil, this work captures the dual truth of what we strive to preserve yet inevitably lose. In the end, it becomes both ‘a place called you’ and ‘a story within me.’”

작품은 현대인의 내면에 잠재된 기억의 파편, 관계의 흔적, 상실의 정서 등 감정의 잔향을 기술적으로 구현하는 데 초점을 둔다. 시각 대신 청각과 정서에 집중된 구조를 통해 관객은 누군가의 이야기를 따라가는 동시에 자신의 감정을 비추는 거울 같은 경험을 하게 된다. 퓨처데이즈 김인현 감독은 작가노트를 통해 다음과 같이 밝힌다.

“희게, 하얗게, 더럽혀지지 않게 지키고 싶은 각자의 신념과 소망, 그리고 우여곡절 속에서도 숭고하게 살아가는 현대인의 삶. 간절히 지키려는 것과 동시에 잃어가는 것. 그 이중적 진실을 포착한 이 작품은, 결국 ‘너라는 장소’이자 ‘내 안의 이야기’가 된다.”

𝘼 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙔𝙤𝙪 centers on the theme of “memory of an invisible existence,” creating an emotional landscape of distance, resonance, form, and voice that spreads like fog along the sensory trace of “you.” The work focuses on technically rendering emotional traces embedded in modern life, such as fragments of memory, the residue of relationships, and feelings of loss. By centering on sound and emotion rather than vision, it allows the audience to simultaneously follow someone else’s story and encounter a mirror that reflects their own feelings.

Upon entering the gallery, visitors encounter a subtle emotional landscape of dim lighting and fog. For this exhibition, PIBI Gallery has pared down the space to its essentials, minimizing visual stimuli to create a 3D immersive sound environment that heightens sensory engagement. Gradually enveloped by spatial audio, visitors put on the Meta Quest headset and then slip into the emotional current of the work, following a narrative composed of AI-generated vocals and lingering emotional resonances.

𝘼 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙔𝙤𝙪는 “보이지 않는 존재를 향한 기억”을 중심 테마로 하며, ‘너’라는 감각을 따라 안개처럼 퍼지는 거리, 잔향, 형상, 그리고 목소리로 구성된 정서적 공간을 구현합니다. 작품은 현대인의 내면에 잠재된 기억의 파편, 관계의 흔적, 상실의 정서 등 감정의 잔향을 기술적으로 구현하는 데 초점을 둡니다. 시각 대신 청각과 정서에 집중된 구조를 통해 관객은 누군가의 이야기를 따라가는 동시에 자신의 감정을 비추는 거울 같은 경험을 하게 됩니다.

전시장에 들어서면 낮게 드리운 조도와 안개가 만들어내는 은은한 정서적 풍경이 관람객을 맞이합니다. 피비갤러리는 본 전시를 위해 공간을 최대한 비워내고, 시각 자극을 최소화한 대신 3D 이머시브 사운드 환경을 조성하여 감각의 몰입을 유도하였습니다. 관람객은 차츰 공간 오디오에 감싸이다가, 메타 퀘스트를 착용하는 순간 AI 보컬과 정서적 잔향으로 구성된 내러티브를 따라 감정의 흐름 속으로 자연스럽게 진입하게 됩니다.
