고근호 고근호 Geunho Ko , 서지우 ZiuSuhZiu 지우서지우 , 백경호 Baek kyungho 백경호 의 3인전 《스스로 그러한(Self-So)》을 밤 9시까지 연장 운영합니다.
늦은 저녁의 고요한 전시장에서 회화와 조각을 천천히 감상하며, 작품과 조금 더 오래 머무는 특별한 시간을 함께해 주세요.

Gallery Planet is participating in Cheongdam Night on Wednesday, September 2, in conjunction with Kiaf SEOUL and Frieze Seoul 2026.

The three-person exhibition Self-So, featuring Geunho Ko, Suh Ziu, and Kyungho Baek, will remain open until 9 PM. Join us for a special evening and experience the paintings and sculptures in the calm atmosphere of the gallery after dark.

갤러리 플래닛은 Frieze Seoul 2026의 LIVE 프로그램으로 서울 전역에서 펼쳐지는 라이언 갠더(Ryan Gander)의 공공미술 프로젝트 《The Find》에 참여합니다.

《The Find》는 작가가 디자인한 한정판 코인을 도시 곳곳에 배치하고, 시민들이 일상 속에서 우연히 발견해 자유롭게 소장하도록 하는 프로젝트입니다. 코인을 발견하는 순간은 예술과 일상이 만나는 경험이자, 자신과 타인, 도시와의 관계를 잠시 돌아보는 계기가 됩니다.

코인은 상반되는 세 가지 주제로 구성됩니다.

서지우 ZiuSuhZiu 지우서지우 는 오래된 옹벽과 광고지 자국이 남은 전봇대, 새 건물 사이에 홀로 남은 낡은 구조물처럼 무심코 지나치는 도시의 장면과 그곳에 켜켜이 쌓인 시간의 흔적을 조각으로 옮깁니다.

그는 도시 곳곳을 걸으며 풍경을 기록하고, 그 과정에서 발견한 버려진 물건과 건축 자재에 손수 다듬은 목재를 더해 작업합니다.

조각과 건축의 경계를 오가는 그의 작품은 도시의 폐허와 잔해에 깃든 시간과 이야기를 드러내며, 익숙하지만 미처 바라보지 못했던 도시의 또 다른 모습을 마주하게 합니다.

도시의 기억을 조각으로 구축하는 서지우의 작업은 오는 9월, Gallery Planet의 Frieze Seoul 2026 프레젠테이션으로 이어집니다.

Suh Ziu translates overlooked urban scenes into sculpture—from aging retaining walls and utility poles marked by remnants of old posters to weathered structures left standing alone between new buildings—along with the traces of time layered within them.

He walks through the city recording its landscapes, creating his works by combining discarded objects and construction materials encountered along the way with wood shaped by hand.

Occupying a space between sculpture and architecture, his works reveal the time and stories embedded in the city’s ruins and remnants, inviting viewers to encounter another side of the urban landscape—familiar yet often unnoticed.

Suh Ziu’s sculptural exploration of urban memory continues this September as part of Gallery Planet’s presentation at Frieze Seoul 2026.

백경호 Baek kyungho 백경호 는 회화의 본질과 표면의 가능성을 끊임없이 탐구하고 있습니다. 유화물감, 퍼티, 콜드왁스, 흙, 천 등 다양한 재료를 쌓아 올린 화면에는 시간과 손의 흔적이 남아, 관객은 이미지에 앞서 ‘물질로서의 그림’을 마주하게 됩니다.

작가는 캔버스를 결합하거나 봉 위에 세우고 벽에 기대는 방식으로 회화를 하나의 사물이자 몸처럼 다루고 있습니다. 작품은 벽에 걸린 그림을 넘어, 관객과 같은 공간에 놓인 하나의 존재로 다가옵니다.

백경호 작가의 주요 작품을 이번 전시와 더불어, 오는 9월 2일~6일 갤러리 플래닛의 Kiaf Seoul 부스에서도 만나보실 수 있습니다.

Kyungho Baek continuously explores the essence of painting and the possibilities of its surface. Built up with layers of oil paint, putty, cold wax, soil, and fabric, his paintings retain traces of time and the artist’s hand, inviting viewers to encounter painting as a material object before an image.

By joining canvases, mounting them on poles, or leaning them against the wall, Baek treats painting as both an object and a body. Moving beyond the conventional picture hung on a wall, each work occupies the viewer’s space as a presence in its own right.

Alongside the current exhibition, a selection of Kyungho Baek’s major works will also be presented at Gallery Planet’s booth at Kiaf Seoul, from September 2 to 6.

고근호 고근호 Geunho Ko 는 규칙 하나를 세우고, 그것이 재료 위에서 풀려 나가도록 둔다. 캔버스 뒤에 바른 크랙 매체가 마르며 수축하면, 앞면은 스스로 갈라진다. 작가가 손을 댄 면과 형태가 발생한 면은 끝내 다르다. 균열의 지도를 그린 것은 재료이고, 작가는 그 자리를 유화로 따라 메운다. 같은 규칙이 되풀이될 때마다 재료는 누구도 계획하지 않은 연쇄로 번져 나간다. 그렇게 남은 풍경 위로 이따금 신화의 형상이 떠오르지만, 그것 역시 불러낸 것이 아니라 도착한 것이다.

Geunho Ko sets a single rule and lets it unspool across the material. When the crackle medium laid on the back of the canvas dries and contracts, the front splits of its own accord. The side the artist‘s hand has touched and the side where form occurs are, in the end, not the same. It is the material that draws the map of the fissures; the artist follows those lines and fills them with oil. Each time the same rule repeats, the material spreads into a chain no one planned. Over the landscape thus left, the shapes of myth occasionally surface — but these too are not summoned; they arrive.
