Ube trend is going strong in Korea! Took pics of these ube-flavored snacks and treats in grocery stores, not including convenience stores. Even cafes and franchise bakeries have them. Have you tried them in Korea?

Every line has a color AND a number — and once it clicks, the whole system makes sense.

🔵 Line 1 — Dark Blue
🟢 Line 2 — Green (the loop line)
🟤 Line 3 — Orange
🔵 Line 4 — Sky Blue
🟣 Line 5 — Purple
🟡 Line 6 — Brown
🟢 Line 7 — Olive Green
🩷 Line 8 — Pink
🐹 Line 9 — Gold

The number tells you which line. The color tells you where to look on the platform signs and maps. Match both, and confusion disappears.

One more thing that saves headaches: transfer stations show every connecting line’s color and number stacked together — so before switching trains, that’s the first thing worth checking.

Find yourself getting lost in the subway? Look for this information center that has real-time multiple language translations on the screen as you talk to the Korean staff. Found in Myeongdong station. Not sure yet if other stops already have this but it seems like a newly introduced service in Seoul subways! Another great addition to making your commute easier around Seoul!

Did you know that in Korea, the general rule when you’re using the escalator is that those on the left are the ones who walk up while those on the right just ride it😅 But nowadays, Seoul is encouraging people to slow down and ease up on this u written rule, but everyone seems to follow it to a T!

On the other hand, those who use the stairs in steep subways are considered champions🏆

It’s hard to choose what to eat in Korea coz everything is so good😢 Even the western food here like brunches and specialty coffee shops hit different! What’s your fave food in Korea?
