프로젝트 그룹 ‘시적극장(poetic studio)’의 이 팜스초이스2020에 선정되었습니다. 2018년 2월에 우란문화재단 프로젝트박스 시야에서 첫선을 보였고, 2020년 1월에 발전된 버전으로 올림픽공원 K-art홀에서 올라갔습니다. 아래 영상의 풀영상+인터뷰영상은 팸스 공식 사이트와 비메오(Vimeo) 팸스 페이지에서 10월 18일 까지 볼 수 있습니다.
* 은 하루 24시간을 한 시간으로 함축하여 빛과 소리로 표현해낸 설치극장이다. 퍼포머는 등장하지 않는다. 극장은 한 시간의 사이클로 반복되지만 관객은 시간의 제약 없이 자유롭게 극장을 체험하고 감각한다.
수십 개의 시선이 교차하는 극장 안에서 관객들은 서로의 퍼포머가 된다. 시적극장(2018)이 블랙박스 공간에 놓였다면, 시적극장 2020은 아레나형 공간에 놓였다. 공간이 확대됨으로써 관객의 시각선과 동선 또한 확대되었다. 변화된 공간에서 관객이 경험할 수 있는 감각적 체험의 밀도는 어떻게 구성되어야 할까?
또, 새로운 알고리즘으로 구현된 사운드맵핑에는 어떤 변화가 있을까? 기술은 우리의 시적詩的인 순간에 어떤, 그리고 얼마나 큰 역할을 할 수 있을까? 한층 정교해진 테크놀로지를 적용한 에서 관객들은 어떤 시적詩的인 순간과 마주할 수 있을지!
In between scenes of a play with ordinary conversations there are times when poetry gets placed.
Plays that have this disparate moment all of the sudden in the overall rhythm. At times, poetry is replaced with movement, lights, sound or even silence. In place of a poem some poetic invasions break into the stage and disturb the audience immersing in the story.
When this poetic element unexpectedly happens, rather than rational eyes to examine the context of the story and make assessment of understanding, sensuous eyes to feel and perceive wholly are necessary.
The «Poetic Theatre» is intending to become an installation theatre.
It is gladly willing to be placed at a site of historical memories,
in the middle of a busy city, at a square where diverse people come and go, and also a field of a secluded countryside village.
