초록불이 켜지면 바로 건너도 될까요? 아이와 꼭 확인하면 좋은 약속이 있어요.
준이가 "초록불이다!" 하고 발을 쑥 내밀 때, 디디는 마음이 콩닥했대. 초록불이어도 바로 건너는 게 아니라, 먼저 좌우를 한 번씩 살피고, 손을 번쩍 들어 운전자에게 보이고, 차가 정말 멈췄는지 눈으로 확인하는 거예요. 깜빡이는 초록불일 땐 무리해서 뛰지 않고 다음 신호를 기다리는 것도 약속이고요.

When Jun shouted "Green light!" and stepped out, Didi's heart skipped. A green light isn't "go now" — first look both ways, raise your hand so drivers can see you, and check the cars have really stopped. If the green light is blinking, don't rush — wait for the next one.
