Maintenant que le spectacle est terminé, The Other Theatre est officiellement en vacances. Nous serons de retour cet automne avec de nouveaux projets passionnants, mais d'ici là... Un dernier merci à la formidable troupe de théâtre avec laquelle nous avons eu la chance de travailler et au Global Women’s Performing Arts Festival pour nous avoir invités et avoir rendu cette expérience si spéciale. Nous sommes infiniment reconnaissants envers tous les acteurs, producteurs, techniciens, concepteurs et toutes les autres personnes qui ont mis tout leur cœur à donner vie à Recovery.

Merci encore à tous ceux qui ont rendu ce projet possible.

Now, with the show wrapped up, The Other Theatre is officially on holiday! We’ll be back this fall with some exciting new projects but until then, we'd like to say one last thank you to the amazing theatre company we were lucky enough to work with and the Global Women’s Performing Arts Festival for inviting us and making this whole experience so special. We’re so grateful to all the actors, producers, technicians, designers, and everyone else who poured their heart into bringing Recovery to life.

As our time in Busan comes to a close, we wanted to share some final photos from our adventures around the city. From exploring neighbourhoods and markets to taking in the sights between rehearsals, these moments made the experience even more memorable.

We’re so grateful to this city for its warmth, its beauty, and the way it welcomed Recovery with open arms. Thank you, Busan, for being part of this incredible journey.

Nous terminons notre séjour à Busan avec quelques dernières photos de nos aventures dans la ville. De l'exploration des quartiers et des marchés à la découverte des sites touristiques entre les répétitions, ces moments ont rendu cette expérience encore plus mémorable.

C'est la fin de notre production de Recovery à Busan !

Alors que nous terminons cette remarquable production, on aimerais vous partager quelques moments préférés des derniers jours : des scènes de la pièce, une photo de groupe avec le dramaturge Greg MacArthur, une image tirée du message vidéo de l'ambassadeur du Canada, une discussion avec les acteurs et le théâtre illuminé sous son magnifique toit kaléidoscopique.

Nous tenons à remercier chaleureusement la compagnie de théâtre et le Global Women's Performing Arts Festival de nous avoir donné l'occasion de participer à cet événement remarquable. Nous remercions également sincèrement tous les artistes, producteurs, techniciens, concepteurs et toutes les autres personnes impliquées. Votre dévouement et votre talent ont fait de cette expérience un moment vraiment merveilleux.

Nous sommes profondément reconnaissants à tous ceux qui ont contribué et soutenu cette aventure. Ce fut un honneur de donner vie à Recovery sur la scène internationale.

That’s a wrap on our Busan production of Recovery!

As we're closing out this remarkable production, we wanted to highlight some of our favourite moments over these last few days. The photos include scenes from the performance itself, a group shot of the production team including playwright Greg MacArthur, and a still from the video message delivered by the Canadian ambassador during a reception, as well as a TalkBack session featuring the full cast. Finally, there’s a photo of the theatre, beautifully illuminated beneath its striking kaleidoscope roof.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the theatre company and the Global Women’s Performing Arts Festival for the opportunity to be part of this remarkable event. Sincere thanks as well to all the performers, producers, technicians, designers, and everyone else involved — your dedication and talent made this a truly wonderful experience.

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to and supported this journey. It has been an honour to bring Recovery to life on an international stage.

We’ve officially started rehearsing at the incredible Busan Cinema Center, the venue where the show will be presented. Everything is coming together for the final production of Recovery and we could not be more excited!

Nous avons officiellement commencé les répétitions dans l'incroyable Busan Cinema Center, le lieu où le spectacle sera présenté. Tout se met en place pour la production finale de Recovery et on a trop hâte !

Voici quelques moments incroyables de la première représentation de Recovery la semaine dernière à l'Adapter Theater, un espace intime qui a accueilli six spectacles puissants devant un public plein d'amour et d'applaudissements.
Merci à tous ceux qui sont venus et ont montré leur soutien !

Vous pourrez également découvrir quelques photos spéciales du dîner d'après-spectacle avec les acteurs incroyables et l'équipe de production, une célébration bien méritée après une première semaine couronnée de succès.

Aujourd'hui, Stacey et la troupe sont de retour en répétition, se préparant à présenter Recovery sur une scène encore plus grande à la fin du mois de juin. Nous sommes impatients de vous faire découvrir la suite.

Here are some amazing moments from last week’s first run of Recovery at the Adapter Theater, an intimate space that saw six powerful shows and an audience full of love and applause.

Now, Stacey and the cast are back in rehearsal mode, getting ready to bring Recovery to an even bigger stage at the end of June. We can’t wait to share what’s next.

Cette semaine, notre directrice créative, Stacey, a assisté en tant qu’invitée “VIP” à la première représentation de l’Orchestre du Centre national des arts à Busan, en Corée du Sud. 🇨🇦🇰🇷

L’événement, qui s’inscrit dans le cadre de l’année d’échanges culturels entre le Canada et la Corée, a donné lieu à une magnifique interprétation de musique canadienne contemporaine et classique ! // Earlier this week, our Creative Director, Stacey, attended the National Arts Centre Orchestra’s debut performance in Busan, South Korea, as a VIP guest. 🇨🇦🇰🇷

The event was a part of the year of cultural exchange between Canada and Korea, featuring a beautiful performance of contemporary and classic Canadian music!

Nous sommes ravis de vous présenter quelques-uns des incroyables acteurs qui donnent vie à Recovery sur scène !

Voici Clare, jouée par Eom Ji-young, Mya, interprétée par Kim Sun-hyun, et Ash, incarnée par Yang Jin-cheol. Ces artistes talentueux ont travaillé d'arrache-pied, se plongeant dans leurs personnages et explorant les couches émotionnelles du scénario.

Nous avons eu la chance de participer à leur première séance de lecture, au cours de laquelle ils ont commencé à donner vie à l'histoire avec passion et dévouement. Parcourez cette page pour découvrir des moments intimes où les acteurs lisent leur texte et entrent dans la peau de leur personnage.

We’re thrilled to introduce you to some of the incredible actors bringing Recovery to life on stage!

At the invitation of the Global Women’s Performing Arts Festival (세계여성공연예술축제/GWPAF) in Busan, the Korean premiere of Recovery by Canadian playwright Greg MacArthur will take place in June 2025!

Five performances will be held at the Adapter Theatre (June 12–16), followed by two encore shows at the Haleunyoen Theatre at the Busan Cinema Centre (June 28–29). ❄️🧊

Featuring a talented local cast, the play is set in a spa-like recovery center in the icy landscapes of Antarctica. Recovery explores themes of control, memory, and autonomy in a highly medicalized, corporatized world.

À l’invitation du Global Women’s Performing Arts Festival (세계여성공연예술축제2020 GWPAF) à Busan, la première coréenne de Recovery, une pièce du dramaturge canadien Greg MacArthur, sera présentée en juin 2025.

Cinq représentations auront lieu au Adapter Theatre (du 12 au 16 juin), suivies de deux supplémentaires au Haleunyoen Theatre du Busan Cinema Centre (les 28 et 29 juin). ❄️🧊

Interprétée par une talentueuse distribution locale, la pièce se déroule dans un centre de réhabilitation évoquant les paysages glacés de l’Antarctique, explorant les thèmes du contrôle, de la mémoire et de l’autonomie dans une société hypermédicalisée.
