You come for one thing…
and somehow leave with plenty.

A bag full of fruit,
a quick lime,
a little story you didn’t expect.

That’s market life in the Caribbean.

Two rum shops.
Two island evenings.
Same Caribbean feeling.

The lights coming on.
Cold beers on the counter.
Dominoes knocking on the table.
And somebody saying, “Just one more before I go.”

I’m experimenting with a slightly different way of showing some of my prints so you can imagine them on the wall at home.

These two rum shop scenes are some of my favourites — little snapshots of those warm Caribbean nights when the whole village seems to end up at the same spot.

Available as prints in my shop.

Night falling in the Caribbean…
and the rum shop lights coming on.

The music starts up.
Someone orders a cold Carib.
Dominoes start knocking on the table.

A quick stop turns into an hour.
An hour turns into the whole evening.

Rum shops like this are the heart of village life — where people meet, laugh, argue about cricket, and put the world to rights before heading home.

This piece is a little tribute to those warm Caribbean nights under the palm trees.

Available as a print in my shop.

If you know Grenada… you know Oil Down.

Breadfruit bubbling in the pot.
Saltfish, coconut milk, dumplings, turmeric, callaloo.
The smell drifting down the road long before the food is ready.

In Grenada, Oil Down isn’t just a meal — it’s a whole event.
People gathering, stories flowing, plates filling up again and again.

This piece was inspired by those seaside cook-ups where the pot is big, the view is beautiful, and nobody leaves hungry.

A little tribute to Grenada’s national dish.

Available as a print in my shop.

Somewhere in St. Martin, lunch looks like this.

A little café by the sea.
Bright umbrellas in the sand.
Rum punch on the table.
The sound of the waves drifting in between conversations.

Maybe you order snapper.
Maybe a plate of johnny cakes.
Maybe just another drink while the boats sail past.

Places like this have a way of turning a quick stop into a whole afternoon.

Inspired by the colourful beach cafés of St. Martin, where the sea is never far away and the day stretches out a little longer than planned.

Available as a print in my shop.

Some afternoons in the Caribbean look like this.

A shaded veranda.
Bougainvillea drifting overhead.
The slow creak of a rocking chair.

No rush.
No noise.
Just the warmth of the day and the quiet rhythm of island life.

Moments like this are easy to miss when life gets busy — but they’re the moments that stay with you the longest.

This piece is a little reminder of those peaceful Caribbean afternoons.

Available as a print in my shop.
