Ambassador of Singapore to Cambodia, H.E. Michael Tan and Minister of Culture and Fine-Arts, H.E. Phoeurng Sackona unveiled a Street Art Fest mural at the Royal University of Fine Arts - សាកលវិទ្យាល័យភូមិន្ទវិចិត្រសិល្បៈ (RUFA) in Phnom Penh this morning.

Generously donated to RUFA by OV Investment and titled Community Wall 4, the mosaic of vibrant color was rendered by Singaporean artist Yip Yew Chong, and it is the 5th in a series of 11 murals to be unveiled in celebration of the 55th anniversary year of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Singapore.

Other than participation from members of the public and RUFA students, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn and LCT Kheng Samvada also added their artistic impressions to the wall at the closing ceremony of the festival on 29 February. D'Seaview Condominium by Camhomes in Sihanoukville is celebrating the 55 years of diplomatic ties between Cambodia & Singapore today, 29 Sept, by inviting the Governor of Sihanoukville, H.E Kouch Chamroeun & H.E Michael Tan, the Ambassador of Singapore Embassy to Cambodia for an unveiling of the two art murals which they acquired recently to commemorate this meaningful celebration.

These two murals were created by Cambodian-Canadian artist FONKi during the Street Art Fest++ event, titled “Summoning Naga and Garuda”, which depict the two mythical creatures, according to the artist, it symbolise protection, wealth, and success. They are based on a series of studies on Khmer mythology and sculptures by FONKi.

Hong Lai Huat Group Limited, a Singapore property and real estate development company, unveiled two murals today, 29 Sept, which were created by Cambodian-Canadian artist FONKi during the Street Art Fest++ event, at its flagship development D'Seaview Condominium by Camhomes in Sihanoukville.

Titled “Summoning Naga and Garuda”, the two art pieces depict the two mythical creatures, which according to the artist symbolise protection, wealth, and success. They are based on a series of studies on Khmer mythology and sculptures by FONKi.

The unveiling ceremony was presided over by His Excellency, Mr Michael Tan, Singapore Ambassador to Cambodia and Mr Kuoch Chamroeun, the governor of Preah Sihanouk province.
