Introducing on June 27th at ✨
‘My artistic practice explores the enduring questions that shape both human and more-than-human life: how we care for ourselves while remaining accountable to our relationships, how we live meaningfully as individuals while sustaining the lands and ecologies we inhabit, and how we come to understand who we are and where we are heading as both people and a species. Through photography, visual art, and an increasing engagement with natural materials, I create works grounded in themes of reciprocity, intimacy, identity, sexuality, and mythology to investigate these interconnected questions.
I am particularly drawn to diptych and triptych forms as a way of constructing visual narratives around balance, duality, and transformation. These formats allow me to explore the tensions and harmonies between masculine and feminine, light and shadow, the internal and external, and the continual shifts that occur within ourselves and our environments. My work is less concerned with fixed answers than with creating spaces for reflection and relation.
Because my practice engages with broad ontological questions of being, knowing, and living in the world, my process is intentionally slow and observational rather than working toward immediate outcomes. I allow everyday experiences, encounters, and rhythms of life to guide the development of each body of work. Reflection, patience, and attentiveness form the foundation from which my artistic practice evolves.’ -
