Where creativity exists, the brain moves through three stages: Brainstorm, Brainfog, and Brainbow.

It’s been such a beautiful madness, a bumpy ride—from the fourth floor of a building in Chbar Ampov to a boutique workspace with a studio, a post-production room, and a proper meeting room that finally fits these tiny yet big brains of the Kampucheers Crew.

The era of the so-called “small family” is over, and a new chapter of “CREATIVE FORCE” is beginning, with a workflow shaped by a Board of Directors with strong backgrounds in the creative field, coming together to uplift our belief:

“រឿងយើងដៅ រ៉ាវយើងដឹង — OUR STORY MATTERS.”

At thirty-three, with a team of thirty, running a creative firm is never easy. But surely, this journey will shape me into the person I’ve always wanted to be: CARING, SHARING & CREATING.

From the capital to the vintage cinema that still exists in Svay Rieng City, we set out to recapture a glimpse of the cinema culture that once defined generations of Cambodians. This project is a heartfelt tribute to the Golden Age of Cambodian cinema; a celebration of the memories, emotions, and shared experiences that continue to inspire us today.

It also reflects the renewed appreciation for Cambodian films since the reopening of Legend Cinemas in 2011, which marked the beginning of a new chapter for local cinema.

Here are some behind-the-scenes moments from the Kampucheers and KOG team during the production of this tribute, filmed at both the old and new Svay Rieng Cinema.
