Story time 🤣 🤣!!
THE TWO DRESSES.
There were two women, Mercy in burgundy, and Aisha in red. Both beautiful, both smart, both hustlers in their own way.
In the middle was Brian.
Brian liked attention. He never told Mercy about Aisha, and never told Aisha about Mercy. When they both found out, he did what manipulators do,he stood in the middle, confused, helpless. "Don't leave me, talk to me," making them fight for him.
Mercy was pulling his arm, saying "But you told me I'm different!"
Aisha was pulling the other arm, saying "You promised me you left her!"
And Brian? He just stood there enjoying it. Because as long as two queens are fighting over a pawn, the pawn feels like a king.
Then Mercy looked at Aisha. Really looked at her. Not as an enemy, but as another woman who was lied to.
She saw the same anger, the same pain in Aisha's eyes.
And she let go.
She said, "Sis, why are we fighting over someone who couldn't even be honest with either of us? If he wanted me, he wouldn't have needed you. If he wanted you, he wouldn't have kept me. So who are we really fighting for?"
Aisha let go too.
The two women walked out of that doorway together, leaving Brian holding the door frame alone.
A week later, Mercy got that promotion she had been crying about to Brian. Aisha opened the small business Brian said was "too risky". They even became friends. Sometimes they laugh about the red and burgundy dresses.
Brian? He's still in that same doorway, looking for two new dresses to pull him.
Moral: A man who truly values you will never put you in a position to fight another woman for him. A woman's worth is never measured by winning a man, but by knowing when to walk away and keep her crown.
Don't fight over him, sis. Let him go.
