The Theatre Company is a performance-based organisation, active in performance development and training. The dream at the heart of The Theatre Company is one of sharing human stories that delight and enrich our lives. And as we exist and thrive in Africa, that dream is based on an African reality. We tell African stori
es, and we tell them using traditional ideas to reflect on contemporary issues. Our dream is to train confident, competent, creative Kenyan performers who will be enabled to perform these stories to an expanding series of audiences and to see those audience members’ lives enriched and improved after the performances. Over the past 18 years, The Theatre Company has been successful in creating dozens of dynamic, innovative performances and been instrumental in the training and development of hundreds of Kenyan performers. The initiatives of The Theatre Company are based on two main pillars: Training and Performance.
