We do not have control of our history but, we get to decide what comes with us into our future. This is what makes heritage and culture beautiful and worth celebrating, yet painful if harmful ways are brought along.

This is the first post of the year and having reflected on what was, I take this opportunity to invite you to evaluate and question with me. What's coming with us to the party? What habits, associations, excuses, beliefs, perspectives etc. What are we allowing to come into our day, our tomorrow?

Choose life, choose growth, choose wisely.

ART IS THERAPEUTIC, ART IS HEALING, ART IS FREEDOM, ART IS POWER.

In 2020, added to worrying about contracting the virus, are tremendous changes to our daily lives; working from home, increased unemployment, home-schooling, social distancing etc and that can take a toll on anyone.

Getting a healthy escape is important. Whether it's in the middle of your career, as a hobby or Purely as a release.

The world comes with a lot of weight and does not really ask for permission before invading our lives. It therefore takes intentionality to remain afloat and thrive in spite of our circumstances.

What do you do to release pressure? To stay afloat? For peace of mind? Let me know in the comments below👇

Ladies and gentlemen, brace yourselves because... it's about to be 🔥🔥🔥

This weeks episode will be up tomorrow. Here's a sneak peek about our guest on THE CREATIVITY TODAY PODCAST.

ps. last slide, that's my face during the interview 😂😂😂

"There is so much, intense work that goes behind telling an African story to a global audience. The fight is won or lost far away from the movie premiere nights. It's won in the pitching boardrooms... Going back to the drawing board and re-writing the scripts. Restrategizing, assembling and reassembling the cast and crew, getting or losing money deals, it's won in years of sometimes sweating bricks... Daily daring the impossible small acts... DON'T GIVE UP" -
