Obituary - Jane Pinto

Jane Pinto passed away on the 15th of July 2026, having lived every one of her years with boundless energy. She was an adventurous spirit who travelled to hundreds of places, with fascinating tales about brief imprisonments in other countries, celebrity encounters, and other hard-to-believe-but-true stories.

Jane was the beloved wife of the late Felix Pinto, devoted mother of Dennis (Joy), Anna (Jurgen), and Fiona (Floyd), and the enormously proud grandmother of Sasha and Tristan. To them, she was someone who managed to top the charts in everything she did, including hosting the most fun and memorable parties.

Jane was the loving aunt, surrogate mother, and friend to a massive global circle of relatives, colleagues, staff, and friends who looked forward to her cheerful WhatsApp greetings. Her thoughtfulness and generosity made her "Aunty Jane" and "Mama” to more people than we could ever count.

Jane brought passion to everything she did — from being the East African table tennis champion to becoming a board member of the International Table Tennis Federation, receiving several honorary and lifetime sport achievement awards. She attended countless Olympic Games, all the while championing her favorite causes through her steadfast support of Kenyan table tennis, AmericaShare, and Huru International.

At Ideal Farm and Micato Safaris, she was Felix's gregarious and hard-working business partner. Jane had a deep belief in the power of connection and, even at 91, would wake up at 5:30 a.m. to greet her arriving safari clients. Guests, friends, family and even her cherished pets could always count on beautiful flowers, delicious food, and a deeply personal gesture that reminded them they mattered.

We are deeply grateful for so many unforgettable and inspiring years with Jane, the trailblazer. She taught us how to play hard, live fully, and always find something to laugh about. People often say, "May she rest in peace." Those who knew Jane smile at the thought. Resting simply wasn't in her nature. Her motto was: "Never Give Up” and that remains her enduring life lesson for all of us.

The family will commemorate Jane's life privately.

It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected and sudden passing of Mark Vitor after being hospitalized for a short period.

Mark was the second son of Mary and Vincent Vitor of Nairobi, Kenya. Siblings Remy/Marlene ( deceased), Veronica( deceased)/Sandy Dias. He attended Dr. Ribeiro's Goan School in Nairobi.

He will be sorely missed by his wife, Hilda (nee D'Souza), his beloved sons Terry and Colin, his daughter-in-law, Yvonne, his 4 precious grandchildren, Brayden, Payten, Tristan and Greyson, nephew Vernon/Elaine, niece Michelle/Ravi and their families, cousins and extended family. He will also be missed by the many friends he made in Kenya, Canada and the USA over the years, including friends of his two sons.
