Nineteen-year-old Gaig Yap made a distressed Maui Now 911 call. Gaig made the 911 call after losing control of his speeding, out-of-control vehicle on Maunaloa Highway on Molokai, Hawaii. Gaig was unable to slow down, shift gears, or shut off the engine. The vehicle jammed, accelerating uncontrollably, and unresponsive to braking or shifting.The dispatcher units tracked and intercepted the vehicle, successfully ending the highway drama without injuries. Gaig and his sisters could be heard celebrating in tears after the successful interception at the end of the 911 call.

Texas mother Debra Janelle Jeter called emergency services to confess that she had attacked her two daughters in an abandoned farmhouse off U.S. Highway 77 near Milford, Texas. Debra told the 911 dispatcher that one daughter was dead, but urged medics to hurry and save the surviving child. Debra Jeter lured her daughters, 12-year-old Kelsey and 13-year-old Kiersten, to an abandoned house during a supervised custody visit amidst a messy divorce. She attacked both girls with a knife. Shortly after, she dialed emergency services, calmly telling the dispatcher, "I just k*lled my children". During the call, Debra stated that one child was d3ad, but pleaded for an ambulance because the older daughter was still breathing and "wants to be saved". On the recording, Debra can be heard drifting between speaking to the 911 dispatcher and telling her surviving daughter to "hold on" because help was coming. Police and troopers arrived to find Debra in the garage with her hands raised. Kelsey died from her wounds, while Kiersten survived critical injuries after undergoing emergency surgery. In 2010, Debra Jeter pleaded guilty to capital murder and attempted capital murder to avoid the death penalty. She was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

This haunting 911 call made by Jake Evans remains one of the most disturbing aspects of the criminal case involving the d3aths of his mother, Jami Evans, and his 15-year-old sister, Mallory Evans.

On October 4, 2012, the then-17-year-old Jake Evans contacted Texas emergency services himself. Rather than someone else discovering what had happened first, Jake was the person who alerted authorities and remained on the phone with the dispatcher while deputies were sent to the family’s Parker County home.

During the conversation, Jake identified himself and answered the dispatcher’s questions about the situation. He also provided information about the location and circumstances inside the residence. His relatively calm manner during portions of the 911 call attracted significant attention when details of the case later became public.

The 911 dispatcher continued speaking with Jake as authorities made their way to the home. The conversation gave investigators an early account of what had happened from Jake himself, and became an important piece of the case that was widely discussed by the public and news organizations.

The case raised questions about Jake's state of mind, his relationship with his family, and events leading up to that night. Investigators also examined his behavior and statements before and after the incident as they worked to understand his actions.

Jake was subsequently arrested and charged in connection with the d3aths of his mother and sister. Years later, in 2015, he pleaded guilty to two murder charges and received two 45-year prison sentences to run concurrently.

Patrick Clancy made the 911 call after returning home from a short errand and discovering a deeply distre$sing scene. The roughly seven-minute call, later played for jurors, captured his panic as he first found Lindsay Clancy seriously injured outside the home. He then went inside to check on the children. His voice became increasingly emotional as he discovered them in the basement and tried to understand what had happened. Patrick repeatedly spoke with the dispatcher while emergency responders were sent to the house. The recording was described in court as extremely emotional, and a judge later restricted public distribution of the audio.

Lindsay Clancy’s diary entries also became important evidence during her August 2026 trial because they documented her emotional and mental struggles during the months before the tragedy. In one entry, she wrote that she felt “completely overwhelmed” while caring for her three children and described feeling as though she was “drowning every day.” Other notes mentioned brain fog, difficulty feeling connected to her baby, and what she described as “horrible thoughts.” The defense has pointed to these writings as evidence of her deteriorating mental state, while prosecutors have presented them as part of their argument about her actions and intentions.

This is a 911 call involving Watauga, Texas dispatcher Mike Forbess. The 911 call attracted national attention after a mother called authorities seeking help with her daughters. The woman, identified publicly only as Lori, had reportedly returned home to find her daughters fighting. She told the 911 dispatcher that her 12-year-old daughter was out of control and had kicked a hole in a door.

During the call, the 911 dispatcher named Mike Forbess made a remark that immediately changed the tone of the conversation. After hearing the mother's description of the situation, he said, “OK. Do you want us to come over to shoot her?” The mother reportedly remained silent for about five seconds. Forbess then asked, “Are you there?” The woman responded, “Excuse me?”

Mike Forbess quickly explained that he had been joking and apologized. However, the mother was deeply offended. She later said that she had called 911 because she needed help and felt that the comment made her situation seem unimportant.

Forbess had worked as a dispatcher for approximately five years. He immediately reported the incident to his supervisor and accepted responsibility for what he had said. He later described his comment as “stupid” and “inexcusable,” saying he was sorry and wished he could take it back.

The Watauga police chief issued Mike Forbess a formal reprimand and warned that any future unprofessional response while answering a 911 line could result in termination. The incident became an example of how even a joke made during an emergency call can have serious consequences.

Lindsay Clancy’s trial has brought renewed attention to her mental həalth struggles in the months before the d3aths of her three young children. Patrick Clancy’s mother testified that Lindsay repeatedly asked for help as her məntal state appeared to deteriorate.

Lindsay Clancy’s mother-in-law, Lynn, described concerns about changes in Lindsay’s behaviour and said the family tried to support her during a difficult period. The defence has argued that Clancy experienced səvere psych1atric symptoms, including hallųçinations and dəlusiøns, after the birth of her youngest child, Callan.

The court has also heard that Clancy received psychiatric treatment and was admitted to a hospital for several days shortly before the tragic events. Her lawyers are presenting evidence about her məntal health history and the treatment she received as they argue that her state of mind is central to the case.

Prosecutors, however, have presented a different interpretation of the evidence and are challenging aspects of the defence’s account.

The case has generated intense public discussion, particularly about postpartum mental health, the warning signs experienced by Clancy’s family, and whether more effective intervention could have changed what happened.
