🩸 RESTORE HER DIGNITY: RESTORE HER CONFIDENCE. 🩸
Every month, many young girls in Mathare suffer in silence during their menstrual period because they cannot afford sanitary pads. Some miss school. Some girls are taken advantage of. Some isolate themselves out of shame and fear of embarrassment. Others lose confidence and dignity because of circumstances beyond their control.
*A period should never steal a girl’s confidence, education, dignity, or self-worth.*
THE ROYAL THEATRE, a community-based organisation based in MATHARE, is on a mission to restore dignity, hope, and confidence to vulnerable girls in Mathare through donations and distribution of sanitary pads.
As an organisation committed to community development, GBV and reproductive health awareness / advocacy / education, child protection, and empowerment of vulnerable groups, we believe that providing sanitary pads is more than just meeting a physical need — *it is about restoring dignity, protecting self-esteem, keeping girls in school, protecting the girls and reminding every young girl that she matters and deserves to live confidently and in dignity.*
❤️ We are appealing to donors, friends, well-wishers, and partners of goodwill to support this noble initiative urgently.
Even ONE PAD can make a difference. Even ONE ACT OF KINDNESS can restore a girl’s dignity and confidence.
