The *Poets You Should Know* slam contest and open mic were more than just a night of poetry—it was a platform for voices that challenge, inspire, and ignite change! 🎤🔥

From Ni Tap who speaks boldly on social justice, to Priscah Njeri aka Scar Poetry, a fearless advocate for women’s rights and q***r expression, to Ochomo the Poet, whose words dive deep into human rights, social justice, and climate change—each performance echoed the realities of our time.

This space allows poets to speak on the struggles and triumphs of today’s youth, shedding light on the social and economic issues shaping our generation. It’s a movement, a revolution in verse, and a home for spoken word that makes an impact.

And the journey isn’t over! 🚀 The next stage is set—the first preliminary slam goes down on March 8th. Who’s ready to take the mic? 🎙️

Tag a poet who needs to be on that stage! 📝👇
