starts with Limp Bizkit, i think there was a good reason for that. with music by Maia & The Big Sky, Monrhea, Kamwangi, Dj Raph, and buzzing electrical circuits by KMRU somewhere in there. and Destiny's Child and James Blake and more. and a group of friends abducted by Vogons and probed about love. the incomprehensible mumblings are supposed to be the Vogons language. oh well 😁

Bad Mambo parties in Kilifi have always been the bomb. We had been planning one there again soon, we hoped to convince the Mungo's Hi Fi crew to head back over and create some creek-side dub vibes... you know, same phenomenal music styles, everyone a bit older but still the life of the party. But then this rona bitch hit, and we stuck at home, and we can't just hop on a plane/train/automobile and head down for the weekend. And it sucks.

Then again, the knowledge that one day the Distant Relatives - Kilifi's eco - lodge & backpackers will welcome us all back with the same heart and passion that has fueled them through the years, keeps us going. If they make it through this rough patch that is. Things are tough down at the coast, people be struggling. There's no money to pay loyal staff who's entire families depend on the income brought by the lodge.

Beautiful people... our friends at Distant Relatives are determined not to let the local community down, during this difficult time. As such they have started this fundraiser... but there's a catch... a good catch that is... you don't just give money... you get rewards for doing so!

With options like "buy a future pizza and cocktail", "book a weekend for two", or "secure a place on one of their famous permaculture classes"... the idea is that you help them now so that you can see them later!

If you can, and we know things are mean in the streets now, we get it, but if you can... please send something their way. Who knows, maybe we can all just book the place out in advance now for the next Bad Mambo partaaay!
