RaSa Dance was founded in 2012 by Sangeeta Mehta and her dance partner, Raoul Dsouza in Mumbai, India. The Dance company specialises in Latin dance forms such as Salsa, Bachata, Casino de Rueda, Merengue, etc. In 2017, RaSa Dance decided to expand its horizons to Nairobi, Kenya. Sangeeta has been dancing since the age of 5. She began her dance journey by training in Indian classical dance (Bharat
Natyam) for 13 years. She then went on to perform and choreograph for a Bollywood fusion dance troupe in Boston that ended up winning many dance competitions across the States. When she moved to Mumbai she became a professional Latin dancer and has been teaching Latin forms of dance for more than 9 years now. Her passion and resilience for dance is instrumental in her campaign towards bringing the art and joy of dance to everyone.
