Kenyan Eye

I need specks
The dark ones
Have seen it once
May be the next will be worse
It may at my expense
Or counted onto my bro or sis
In the name of the loved ones

How disgusting it is
To fully opening our eyes
But have to pretend
To be blind
To be sure of our safety

We use our eyes
Not to watch the right
But the shameless
Of those who do not show light
And their deeds are hefty

Tears are what we feed on
Want to fight for our rights
But have to hold on
Because the reps
Have ignored their duty
We call it a democratic country
But can't see the democracy

Every new day
Brings in new complains
We feel to run away
From all these leaders
To live a no lie lonely life

My eyes have shed tears
Of seeing innocent blood shed
especially of those who tell the truth
We are hated
And they seek how to shut us up
By calling us their friends
As if we don't
Know their pretence.

When I realized what I got
I made it a life pot
Where you can draw like from sea
Which never runs dry
You will need no plea
Nor cry

Yea, it is where we invest
Where our traditions are found
Where you need to rest
Because it's all round
Teaching East to west

Leaving nothing in particular
Involving even the peculiar
Giving all guidelines
That the life requires
And answering the inquired

How beautiful is literature
Allows no failure
It is always there to ensure
That everyone is somebody
I have made it my buddy
Because it makes my peace
Not into pieces
But a single wholesome piece

The BITTER TASTE OF LOVE

You may not understand
Not unless you stand
At the same
Feel the shame
Then you will get it
When you feel like in a pit

Helpless I felt
When I knelt
To beg him to stay
He was deaf to my cry
He laughed
Felt like he had conquered
A hundred battles and
Him alone, survived

My heart shuttered
No one would
Recollect the pieces
I gave up in love
Yes, he killed the precious
My precious heart
Was hurt

Tears became my food
I hated the gender
Not even their tender
Talks, which betrayed my loyalty
Not even the naughty
Would I wish to remember
My love life
Was gone forever.
