Some photographs deserve more than a place in an album—they deserve a frame. Prof. Stephen Kiama's is certainly one of them. He was a good leader, a man who truly understood his assignment as Vice Chancellor and executed it with remarkable clarity and purpose. I still vividly remember his address during the COVID-19 period on the transition to online learning, when he confidently remarked, "IIOE, therefore..." while referring to International Institute of Online Education, that moment has never left my mind. A good leader, that one. His legacy deserves both remembrance and respect.

The people of Sotik Constituency and Bomet County deserve leaders whose presence is felt long before campaign posters are printed. Many projects that were promised remain incomplete or have stalled altogether, including sections of roads that continue to be impassable, delayed water supply projects, under-equipped health facilities, youth empowerment initiatives that never materialized and development programs that have remained on paper despite repeated assurances. These are not impossible undertakings - they are practical, achievable projects that only require leaders with commitment, vision and the political will to deliver.
