Nairobi friends:
We are hosting auditions to cast for a play reading of a new musical, Pani Puri, by Aleya Kassam, Eric James Wainaina and Rushab Nandha. Pani Puri is a new musical that engages themes of Brown-Black relationships (its joys and taboos) in Kenya. In a wedding gone wrong, this brown-black love story illuminates the trials and tribulations of staying together across cultures, with music that invites us into Asian-Kenyan and African-Kenyan sounds.
