Raise your hand if you have a secret folder of decor ideas for a home you haven’t built yet.

I am completely in love with this pattern, and lately, I can’t stop visualizing it as a kitchen backdrop. Wallpaper, statement tiles, a cozy nook—it just feels like it belongs in the heart of a home.

For now, it’s going straight into my 'one day' inspiration bank for when I finally get to design and decorate my own kitchen from scratch. Until then, a girl can dream (and sketch)!

What does your dream kitchen look like? Are you team bright and colorful, or sleek and minimal? Let’s chat in the comments!

Ready for launch.

Looking at this cosmic planet print today and thinking about all the incredible shapes and stories hidden in a yard of fabric. When you're making things for kids, the fabric isn't just fabric—it's the backdrop for an entire imaginary universe.

If you had a couple of yards of this print on your cutting table right now, what would you create?

Honest creative check-in: I haven’t sewn much since I got to Montevideo. 🇺🇾✨

Lately, I’ve been intentionally trying to practice the art of focusing on one craft at a time. It’s a challenge because it is so easy to want to do all the things at once—illustrating, designing, pattern making... the list goes on.

I thought giving myself strict creative boundaries would keep me focused, but the truth is... I just really miss the sewing machine. There is a specific kind of magic in watching a flat design turn into something tangible and functional.

To my fellow makers: How do you balance your different creative outlets? Are you a strict 'one project at a time' person, or is your studio a beautiful mess of multiple hobbies at once? Let me know below!

"Two pillows, just half a yard of fabric.

Digging into the archives today for a practical, stash-busting project. This tutorial is perfect for when you want to stretch a favorite print as far as possible—like this pattern I designed featuring forest animals exploring space as astronauts.

It’s a quick, rewarding sew to add a playful touch to a reading nook or a kid's bedroom.

Scoreboard: Baboons: 1 — Our Family: 0.

Camping in Kenya with kids is many things: breathtaking, unforgettable, and occasionally involve losing your dinner to a very strategic group of baboons. But it’s also the most accessible way to see the 'Samburu Special Five' or wake up facing a snow-capped Kilimanjaro without the luxury lodge price tag.

I finally sat down to illustrate a project close to my heart: a hand-drawn map of my 7 favorite family-friendly campsites in Kenya. These spots are tried, tested, and totally family-approved. If we can do it (and survive the baboons), you can too!

I just feel like resharing this gorgeous collection! As we move toward summer, I’m revisiting the earthy tones and hand-drawn details of the Lake Camping collection. It’s a palette inspired by the warmth of sun-baked clay, deep forest greens, and the simple beauty of wildflowers.

Sometimes the best inspiration for the new season comes from the classics in the archive. These prints were designed to bring a bit of the quiet outdoors into your summer projects.

What are you planning to create this summer?

I know, for me, it's always something for the girls!

Not even pretending I’ll miss winter… 😄

All I wanted today was a little sunshine, so I found it in this fabric ✨
