*Building Beyond Wealth; The Legacy of spirit, service, and substance*

So let's talk about building beyond wealth- the kind of inheritance that doesn't fit in a will but lives in people's hearts long after you are gone

Money is important, it buys comfort, stability, and options. But money alone has never healed a broken heart, reconciled a family, or built character. We have all seen it- families that once seemed perfect torn apart by inheritance disputes. Siblings who stop speaking after their parents' funeral because the will was unclear or unfair. The truth is, money reveals what is already in people.

If you don't cultivate love, humility, and unity before you distribute wealth, that same wealth becomes poison. That is why Jesus said: Mark.8.36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? (NKJV). The goal isn't to be rich and restless, successful but soulless. True prosperity is holistic- wealth in your bank, wisdom in your mind, and wholeness in your spirit. Because what good is it to leave your children millions, if you didn't leave them meaning??

Enyewe ulimwengu is overworking Kwa hizi classes😂😂

1. Common sense is not common

2. Don't make decisions from an emotional point of view

3. Shouting does not mean you are raising a strong point

4. You can be gentle and still make sense

5. Threats are not a sign of wisdom, but lack of it

6. Change is as good as rest

7. Be exposed, you can reason from someone's else point of view

8. Referring to how someone else is doing something sometimes is to bring sense to some of us, we are too reluctant to change

9. No one should be defended on the basis of their gender, bring facts on the tables, that's what we will deal with...I mean, we can start from there

10. Be part of decisions, don't be silent and expect us to guess where you lie

We always learn,unlearn, and relearn everyday

Kitambo I was always ashamed to go purchase a sanitary pad from the shop
It looked like a crime that I was experiencing my me**es
My learners also grew up feeling “guilty" that they were experiencing their me**es
I had to remind them that it was very okay
I reminded the boys that me**es was never a weakness and never will it be

Now, as a female teacher, carrying a sanitary pad every day whether I'm on my me**es or not is a MUST
That's why I never miss a bag with me
That extra sanitary pad is never for me always
It's for emergencies for my girls
Some of them don't know their time of the month so they are caught off guard
Others depend on the school to supply sanitary pad for them
Some of them are ashamed to ask their parents about it

So you see
There is more to being a teacher
You become a big sister or brother
You become a mother or father
To some of the learners
You are their safe space
So, offer that

Continuation... Sometimes the Holy Spirit wants to help us find solutions for things we are struggling to achieve. Some people struggle with time management,cooking, grooming, raising children, dealing with staff, corporate challenges, and so forth and they have been so defeated in their minds because they have not yet involved the Holy Spirit to give solutions. he always has the best solutions, allow Him to guide you, and talk through your issues with Him.

The Holy Spirit improves the quality of our lives, what we eat, where we eat, what we wear, where we shop, where we stay, and so forth. God never calls us to a lower life or to demote us. The Holy Spirit upgrades us. The light of the righteous only shines brighter until the perfect day. Only wicked men are on a steep path of depreciation.

Continuation... Sometimes, Holy Spirit wakes us up to pray. You may not have set an alarm, but you'll just be woken up suddenly. The Holy Spirit tries to intervene by all means possible so that He protects us from evil. He knows the impending dangers of not praying for what is ahead of us. He quickens us to interpret evil in prayer.

Sometimes the Holy Spirit gives us divine ideas and many call them light bulb moments. He is giving us wisdom to profit, diverting us from our ways of doing things and shortening the long path we'd have taken in ignorance.

Sometimes He introduces us to our destiny people and other times He warns us about people who are harmful to our destinies. I strongly believe that the Holy Spirit causes us to be in certain places at certain times for divine encounters with men. I also believe that there are many destructive meetings that He keeps us from or warns us of. The Spirit- filled believer is never disadvantaged. Someone may miss a bus or a flight and be so angry yet that was God's way of protecting them from evil connections.

Nowadays
As a teacher, I feel like we have to do some ground check to know where our learners come from
Not because we are mouthy or anything
But because we wanna take care of the hearts of these children
Some of them are brought up by parents whose breakfast is changaa
Wa**lala Kwa mitaro
And unfortunately most of them are mothers
These children are always on the road going for school fees
Some of their parents come to school drunk
Some of their parents are heavy suppliers of changaa and they send their customers to bring lunch for their children
I have seen such kids run away whenever they see that already drunk man or woman bring them lunch
It's so traumatizing buanaa
Sometimes they refuse to take that lunch 😭😭
It breaks my heart baanaaa

So, right now in my recent class
I had to be very careful teaching about drugs
I avoided as much mentioning parents
Because I don't know what that child will feel
I have them in my class
Well, I know that there is some hidden pain and frustration
Some maybe regret being born there
Some of them are forced to be “mature" when they should be “children" you get my point

The worst part is that the other learners know those parents too
And sometimes they could use that against the learner in the picture
But you have to sit them down and remind them that no one chose where they were born
No one chose their parents
And I'm reminded that God in the book of Acts us the one who allowed each and everyone of us to be born where we are born
So, there is more to teaching and going home
How do I leave the learners feeling after class?
Do they look forward to my lessons?
Can they confide in me?
Can I be trusted?🥱
There is more to having a TSC number
May God give every teacher the grace to impact the lives of those learners
And to take care of their hearts

Just reminded my learners the other day that girls are not the only victims of r**e, boys are too

We have so much focused on the s*xual safety of girls that we forget boys

Just from watching a video of a police officer (a mother of 3 boys and 3 girls) who handled a case of a boy who was introduced into a**l in*******se by a man who was living in their compound

Just to remind you that the parents (both parents of the boy were there)
Have never been a parent
But, parenting needs grace...it has no specific manual ( I don't know much so I won't talk about it)
The boy was introduced first to pornograhy between a man and a man
This boy learnt it, got addicted, and did it on other boy
When parents were asked, they said it was the work of the devil
(I also don't have anything to say here 💔😭)

I was telling my learners that a**l s*x affects the muscles that helps hold the p**p for lack of a better name maybe
They become so weak
Someone can just mess up on themselves anytime

Some are surviving on pampers
I am rooting for the boy child today😩😩
Who knows, I can be mama boys in the next 5 years
How will I talk to them about s*x
Is it my work to do so as their mother or I leave it to the father?
How can they be helped on this matter?
They took are vulnerable to s*xual abuse😩😩

The Holy Spirit gently called us to a life of holiness. He begins to allow us to feel what God feels when we obey or disobey Him. He would want to be a part of our lives even though He will not push His way. His voice is so subtle it can easily be ignored.

Sometimes His voice comes like a thought or suggestion. When you follow that though it leads you to a path of success but when you don't follow it, you end up in trouble. Many people only realize that they had heard the voice of God when they have already ignored it.

Sometimes He causes us to lack our sense of peace when in danger and warns us about wrong decisions we may be on the verge of making. When you lack peace about a thing, hold back and find out why. The Holy Spirit could be trying to get your attention on something.

If you leave your children property but not principles, they will lose the property. But if you leave them principles, even if they lose the property, they will rebuild it. Teach them to tithe. Teach them to save. Teach them to serve. Teach them to stay humble. Your legacy is not measured by what you leave in their bank accounts, but by what you leave in their belief systems.
