KENYANS TO EARN KSH 110,000 MONTHLY IN SAUDI ARABIA — HISTORIC NEW DEAL SEALED
In what is being hailed as a groundbreaking milestone in Kenya’s labour export industry, the government has announced a new agreement that will see Kenyan workers in Saudi Arabia earn a minimum monthly salary of KSh 110,000.
The deal, signed after high-level discussions between President of Kenya and Saudi Arabian leadership, aims to protect Kenyan migrant workers, boost overseas employment, and strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations.
A NEW DAWN FOR KENYAN WORKERS ABROAD
For years, thousands of Kenyans have travelled to the Gulf seeking better opportunities, but many faced challenges including underpayment and tough working conditions. The newly negotiated package is expected to transform the experience of Kenyan workers by offering:
A guaranteed minimum salary of KSh 110,000 per month
Improved working conditions and enforcement of labor rights
Safer recruitment channels through accredited agencies
Government-monitored contracts to prevent exploitation
The President termed the agreement “a victory for the dignity and economic empowerment of our people”, emphasizing that the welfare of Kenyan workers abroad is now a top priority.
