Have you ever listened to someone and cried? Well, that was me yesterday. I was privileged enough to share with a woman of God who is apparently my neighbor. She's at her 50s, a beautiful single mother of 3 beautiful children at their 20s (last born 19). I left her house a new person. It's like I was baptized again.
I'll share briefly some of the things I learnt. âŹď¸Ź
She's so forgiving. She has nothing against those who treats her like trash or I've treated her like that in the past. Her argument: why do you expect to get things from people who don't have them? Someone isn't showing you love despite your efforts (parents, siblings, friends, etc) How can they give you love when they haven't received love themselves? They don't have it so where will they get it from? Guys, this is deep. It takes the Grace of the LORD to understand that people behave in the way they're behaving because they've got their issues too. Bottomline: She asked me to pray for them instead.that God may work in their lives. You can't give what you don't have and it's not your fault.
Everything is seasonal. Sometimes you just want to fast and pray.wake up for midnight prayers, study the word of God, and sometimes you don't feel like it, it's okay, don't beat yourself up. It's okay to take a break. Spiritual journey is a very long journey. It's like jogging. It's okay to walk, it's okay to stand and rest, just make sure you don't look back despite the challenges. Take a break, get back to work, where there's a will, there's a way. Don't give up on your journey🙏🏻
