Yesternight before I put our boys Kieran and Kilian to sleep, (was my duty)🤪🤪we narrated a bedtime story and it was about Prophet Jonah. When we got to the point of "Big Fish swallowed Jonah" They got scared. They had an idea of and the only way to help them understand was by singing part of the rhyme, "Grandpa Shark do do do do"😂😂😂😂

Now, when we finally prayed and the boys slept, I sat down to think about this story and got deeper revelations from it.
The book of Jonah 1: 1-17 outlines a story of how Jonah forsook his mission but God in His own way, used His power to show Jonah that he couldn't run away from His face and calling.
You see, God made a situation; a condition which is fish's stomach. God allowed him to be swallowed.
He stayed there.
How was he breathing for 3 days? 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
Very tough condition!
Then I thought: he was not chewed, not even digested! NOT CONSUMED! Ala!!

Sometimes we get into situations that God has allowed so that we withdraw from the world and get to understand God deeper. God didn't allow the fish to consume Jonah. It was just to provide a condition where Jonah would survive in order to turn to God in prayer.
See, Jonah did not drown. God delivered him in the most spectacular way; hiding him in the belly of a fish.
My dear friend, sometimes you may not understand why God has allowed you to get into that "bad situation"
Perhaps, it was that place which is safer than being outside there. The Lord took care of Jonah right inside the fish belly. He was not CONSUMED. His focus remained to be God and that's why Chapter 2 of the book of Jonah presents us with the prayer he made. Verse 1-9 is Jonah's prayer while in verse 10, God takes an action: He commands the fish to vomit Jonah.🤔

God has allowed that situation to hold you, not to CONSUME YOU but to save you. It might be the worst storm in your life, it might be the worst experience you've ever had in your life, it might be the bitterest thing you've ever dealt with in life BUT trust me, IT WILL NOT CONSUME YOU. Begin calling on God in that condition, in that situation like Jonah did and he saw God's salvation. God commanded the fish to deliver him. I don't think praying, repenting and interceding while in the belly of a fish was a comfortable thing for him but see, he didn't just allow himself to die. He knew there was power in praying wherever he was.
You can pray yourself out of that condition! No it is not that bad! And yes, you WILL NOT BE CONSUMED!
May God order that condition you are in to VOMIT you now! May you come out whole in Jesus Name to fulfil your purpose here on earth.💯
