Shock and grief as autopsy results reveal that Alice Riang'a, a 2nd year student at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University, died from blunt force trauma and was sexually assaulted before her body was dumped in a thicket in Bondo town. According to JOOUST president, Alice had three boyfriends who were financially taking care of her and situation turned sour when one of the boyfriends took her out for a vacation at the coast and shared the moments on TikTok something that might not have been received well by the other boyfriends. However, one of the boyfriends who is a Tanzanian national has been arrested in connection to the murder and is assisting with investigations. Cases of young girls being murdered in love triangles has gone high in the country with parents being asked to engage their gen z daughters on matters related to love and finances from men.

H.E Mutula Kilonzo Jnr's Mbitini Ward tour!
Makueni county Governor H.E Mutula Kilonzo Jnr has today commissioned the Ilengeni Water distribution Project at Kwa Thuku, Mbitini Ward , a transformative investment aimed at expanding access to clean and reliable water for the people.
The project features a modern treatment plant, hybrid-powered pumping system, solar infrastructure, storage facilities, and an extensive distribution network. The project will supply 160 cubic metres of clean water daily, serving Mbitini, Emali and Mulala wards as well as benefiting 15 villages through 9 community water points featuring 11 kilometer water pipe line and water storage facilities.

Makueni County governor H.E Mutula Kilonzo Jnr officially commissions Mbeletu Play ground as a way of boosting sports in the county as he kicks off his tour in Mbitini Ward. Mutula emphasized the need for empowering the youth through sports saying that sports create life changing opportunities for the youth bearing in mind that the Makueni County football team were crowned winners of the Kenya Youth Inter-County Sports Association(KYISA) held in Laikipia last month.
