Hon Maurice Kakai Bisau MP Kiminini honored an invitation from Hon Farouk Kibet, the President’s Aide to grace this year’s Great Chepsaita Cross Country Run in Turbo Constituency.
The annual event brought together young athletes from across Turbo, providing a platform to nurture budding talent and promote the growth of athletics in the region. Access to clean and reliable water remains one of the most essential needs for our households and our learning institutions. Although the water function is devolved, Hon Maurice Kakai Bisau MP Kiminini firmly believes that leadership knows no boundaries when it comes to addressing challenges that affect the wellbeing of our people.
It is in this spirit that Hon Bisau is pleased to announce a significant milestone for Friends Secondary School Sirende and the neighbourhood. After actively engaging and knocking on doors to mobilize support,he has successfully drilled a borehole at the school. This water project will not only serve the students and staff but also provide needed relief to families living around the school.
In addition,a greenhouse has been established within the school compound, which will utilize this water resource to support agricultural activities.This initiative is aimed at enhancing food production and improving practical agricultural learning for students.

During the last electioneering period,Hon Maurice Kakai Bisau "Baazuu" the Member of Parliament Kiminini Constituency,promised that once elected into Office his first bill in Parliament will advocate for the recognition and remuneration of the village elders.Together with like minded legislators led by Hon Mwengi Mutuse they brought the bill in the chambers of Parliament.
Not only did Hon Kakai Bisau advocate for the remuneration of village elders,he also proposed the medical covers,airtime and protective gears for village elders highlighting the crucial role they play in the society.
Today,the dream has actualized as His Excellency the President declared that effective from next year June,all the village elders will be subjected to a monthly stipend of 3,000 shillings.
Hongera Bazuu for pushing for the recognition and remuneration of the village elders.Your efforts has bore fruits,which is a sigh of relief for the village elders.
