Thank you to everyone who made it for the opening of the KAD trio exhibitions, last weekend. The joy, laughter and energy that filled the spaces was an experience to we all longed for. The exhibitions are still ongoing please make plans to stop by and interact with the beautiful body of work from the exhibiting artist.

It is with deep sadness that we join the East African art community in mourning the passing of Patrick Mukabi, lovingly known by many as Panye.

Patrick Mukabi was more than an artist, he was a teacher, mentor, and builder of people. His impact on the Kenyan art community can be seen through the many artists he guided, encouraged, and inspired across generations. His dedication to sharing knowledge and nurturing creative voices made him a pillar within the art fraternity.
His spirit of community building deeply resonated with the vision of Kibera Arts District and HOF Gallery. He was a true friend whose presence, wisdom, and generosity touched many within our spaces and beyond.
We honor a life that gave so much to art and to people. His legacy will continue through the countless hands he shaped, the minds he opened, and the communities he strengthened.

Rest in power, Panye.
Your light remains in the work and hearts of many.
