Its the last Sunday of Summer. Doing a little reflecting today, I spent a lot of time indoors. It was way too hot to be out in the summer. I enjoyed reading and listening to audiobooks while knitting too. I still can't knit and read, maybe one day. How was your summer?

Smell the flowers!

We got the opportunity to visit the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station and see their decommissioning site. A 9.0 magnitude earthquake hit Fukushima prefecture back in March 2011 followed by a huge tsunami! Do you remember it? The tsunami caused so much damage the plant suffered meltdown and hydrogen explosions. TEPCO who operates the plant has been decommissioning the site and said it will be take decades. They have taken so much action to provide safety to the area and even give tours so you can see the progress. If you are in Japan, its definitely a place to visit.
