Gallery NOW is pleased to present "Chikako Hirai: Kurawanka," opening today, Fri, 10 July.
Based on the techniques of Japanese painting, Chikako Hirai continues to pursue her own unique expression.
This exhibition focuses on large-scale works over 3 meters long, such as the noren (fabric divider) "Nosuri" and the silver folding screen "Panthalassa, Utau", along with a new series of small works, "Hanafuda-e" and "Sho-e".
The artist will be present at the gallery today, Fri, 10 July.
