🌝 Tokyo by night 🌙 I’ve never been to a city that feels as safe to walk in as Tokyo, even in the absolute dead of night.
Granted, I’m a guy. But even so, you wouldn’t catch me casually strolling down back alleys alone in most major American cities at 1am. In Tokyo, there’s an entirely different vibe. In many areas around the city, everything is so lit up during the night hours that it almost feels like daytime anyway. And there are always plenty of people out and walking around. I wasn’t being careless of course, but there’s a tangible difference in safety there which encourages exploration in a way that’s nearly inconceivable in America.
