MAHO KUBOTA GALLERYでは、2026年6月12日（金）より、菅雄嗣の個展「NØ（ノー）」を開催いたします。

「リミナリティ（境界性）」という概念をもとに、現実と虚構、存在と不在といった二項対立を絵画の中で探求してきた菅雄嗣。
本展では、そのテーマをさらに深化させ、時空の捩れや、図と地のあいだで揺れ動く認知のバグのような感覚を鑑賞者に体験させる新作群を発表いたします。
また、これまで絵画上で実験してきた考察を、プロジェクションによるインスタレーションとして可視化する試みも加わりました。

展覧会のオープニングレセプションは明日6月12日（金）18:00〜19:30に開催いたします。ぜひお立ち寄りください。

MAHO KUBOTA GALLERY is pleased to present "NØ", a solo exhibition by Yushi Suga, opening on Friday, 12 June 2026.

Grounded in the concept of liminality, Suga has long explored binary oppositions such as reality and fiction, presence and absence through painting.
In this new exhibition, he pushes these investigations further, presenting a body of work that invites viewers to experience distortions of time and space, as well as a kind of perceptual dislocation that emerges between figure and ground.
The exhibition also includes a new projection installation, extending ideas previously explored within painting into physical space and making them visible in a new form.

MAHO KUBOTA GALLERYでは、2026年6月12日（金）より、菅雄嗣の個展「NØ（ノー）」を開催いたします。

新作《NØ》シリーズでは、一つの画面を垂直あるいは左右に分割し、片方を作家自身の手で描く一方、もう片方では3Dプリンターがその筆致をなぞります。
しかし、機械が再現できるものと、できないものがあります。そのバグにも似たズレの中から、ペインティングの固有の存在感が浮かび上がります。

人の手と機械のあいだで立ち上がる、謎めいた絵画のアウラをぜひ目撃してください。

MAHO KUBOTA GALLERY is pleased to present NØ (No), a solo exhibition by Yushi Suga, opening on June 12, 2026.
In the new NØ series, each canvas is divided vertically or horizontally. One half is painted by the artist’s own hand, while on the other half a 3D printer traces his original brushstrokes.
Yet there are things a machine can reproduce, and things it cannot. Within the subtle discrepancies—almost like glitches—that emerge through this process, the unique presence of painting gradually reveals itself.
We invite you to witness the enigmatic aura of painting that arises between the human hand and the machine.

AKI INOMATAが、6月6日から開催される、今年初開催の Medina Triennial 2026「All That Sustains Us」に参加いたします。

本展では、35組のアーティストおよびコレクティブによる100点以上の作品が、ニューヨーク州メディナの屋内外の会場にて展示されます。

INOMATAは、Historic Medina High Schoolにて《How to Carve a Sculpture》を展示予定です。

また、6月7日14:00からは、Lilia Rocio TaboadaとINOMATAによるトークイベントも開催予定です。

AKI INOMATA will participate in the inaugural edition of Medina Triennial 2026, “All That Sustains Us,” opening on June 6.

The exhibition will present more than 100 works by 35 artists and collectives across indoor and outdoor venues in Medina, New York.

AKI INOMATA will present《How to Carve a Sculpture》 at Historic Medina High School.

A talk event with Lilia Rocio Taboada and AKI INOMATA will also be held on June 7 at 2:00 PM.

Final day tomorrow! Don’t miss Kenta Takahashi’s solo exhibition “Allohistory Cultures.”

Traditional Japanese mineral pigments quietly depict the anonymous materials that make up urban infrastructure, appearing alongside “physically” pixelated landscapes of nature that similarly emerge from systems of anonymity. Together, they form a single tableau.

This exhibition explores the possibility of bringing together contemporary art and Nihonga—two practices that have long been treated as separate within the Japanese art scene.

本作は、ZAZ10TSによるビデオアートプログラム「In Between」の一環として、約2〜3分ごとに15秒間上映されます。

象徴的なスポーツ会場の風景、多様な背景を持つアスリートたちのポートレート、そして集団的な応援の精神を体現する熱狂的なファン「ultras」たちのダイナミックな描写を通して、本作はチームを応援することに宿る熱狂に迫ります。

Brian Alfred’s video work, The Ultras!, will be presented on the ZAZCorner Times Square Billboard in New York’s Times Square.

Presented as part of ZAZ10TS’s “In Between” video art program, the work will appear for 15 seconds approximately every 2 to 3 minutes.

Through landscapes of iconic sports venues, portraits of athletes from diverse backgrounds, and dynamic depictions of passionate “ultras” — enthusiastic fans who embody the spirit of collective support — The Ultras! delves into the fervor of rooting for a team.
