この度NANZUKAは、Hive Center for Contemporary Art（蜂巢当代艺术中心）
とのコラボレーションによる特別企画展「Fluid Cities」を開催いたします。
本展は、北京、上海、重慶、成都、台北、東京の6都市を拠点に活動する、中華圏出身の若手アーティスト8名に注目するグループ展です。

世界で最も長い文化史を持つ中華圏は、その歴史の中で多様な思想哲学や民族性、人々の往来、交流を通じて、複雑で重層的な文化を築き上げてきました。本展に参加する中華圏出身のアーティストたちは、そうした歴史的背景を共有しながらも、現在の若い世代固有の感性と解釈を基点に、新たな表現を生み出しています。本展では、彼らの多様な実践を通して、東アジア・中華圏におけるアートの継承と変容をあらためて見つめ直します。

本展のオープニングレセプションは、8月29日（土）17:00-19:00に開催いたします。なお、本展は1Fギャラリーにて開催されるジグセン・リュウによる個展「Stellar Axis」との同時開催となります。

この度NANZUKAは、杭州・上海を拠点に活動する中国人若手アーティスト、ジグセン・リュウの日本初となる新作個展「Stellar Axis」をNANZUKA UNDERGROUND 1Fにて開催いたします。

リュウ(1992年、中国・安徽省生まれ)は、彫刻的な空間認識と絵画表現を融合し、空間や物体の「解体」をテーマに制作を続けています。
本展「Stellar Axis(星の軸)」では、上下を反転させることで異なる図像が現れる「双面絵画」と、古代の神的存在や自然、現代社会を宇宙的な視点から交差させる「宇宙絵画」という二つのアプローチによる新作9点を発表します。

本展のオープニングレセプションは、アーティストを囲んで、8月29日（土）17:00-19:00に行います。なお、本展は2Fギャラリーにて開催される若手アーティスト8名によるグループ展「Fluid Cities」との同時開催となります。

NANZUKA is pleased to present “Stellar Axis,” the first solo exhibition in Japan of new works by Zigsen Liu, a young Chinese artist based in Hangzhou and Shanghai, at NANZUKA UNDERGROUND (1F).

Born in Anhui Province, China in 1992, Zigsen Liu’s practice is defined by the fusion of sculptural spatial perception and painterly expression, exploring the “deconstruction” of space and objects.

Under the theme of Stellar Axis, the exhibition presents nine new works based on two approaches: Liu’s “double-sided paintings,” which maintain a coherent composition and reveal different images even when inverted, and his “cosmic paintings,” where ancient divine beings, the natural world, and contemporary society intertwine through a cosmic perspective.
An opening reception with the artist will be held on August 29th (Sat) 17:00-19:00 at NANZUKA UNDERGROUND. This exhibition is presented concurrently with “Fluid Cities,” a group exhibition featuring eight emerging artists, taking place on the 2nd floor of the gallery.

NANZUKA ART INSTITUTE Nanzuka Art Institute is pleased to announce A Lapse of Constant Motion, a solo exhibition by Chinese contemporary artist Zigsen Liu. Marking another significant presentation of the artist’s work in Shanghai, the exhibition brings together key works from recent years. Juxtaposing two parallel strands—double-sided paintings and cosmic narratives—it offers a profound meditation on the relationships between perception, technology, and existence. The exhibition will be open to the public from August 9 to September 27, 2026.

This body of work depicts walls, furniture, and the human body as if they were gradually dissolving into one another.

Furniture bears traces of use, memories of the body, and subtle signs of life. Walls, on the other hand, are ever-present in our daily surroundings, yet their existence rarely enters conscious awareness. These works originate from the sensation that prolonged contemplation of a wall causes consciousness to diffuse and drift toward the unconscious.

When gazing at an empty wall, one’s vision often settles upon a minute point within space, while the sense of time becomes ambiguous. Within this state, the boundaries between person and wall, person and furniture, begin to waver, and both body and consciousness seem to permeate the surrounding environment.

ソファは、人の身体の重みや温度、姿勢の痕跡を受け止め、それらを一時的に記憶する家具である。身体が離れた後もしばらく形状を保持するその性質は、不在の身体を想起させると同時に、時間の経過そのものを可視化しているようで映像的にも見える。

ソファと人間、あるいは植物のような存在が互いに浸透し溶け合う様子が描かれている。

本展「NO SEQUENCE」では、絵画12点、ドローイングコラージュ3点、映像作品1点からなる新作群を発表いたします。

この度 NANZUKAは、PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO（渋谷PARCO 4F）において、2026年7月3日（金）から8月3日（月）の間、ウルトラマンシリーズ60周年を記念した新たな企画展「SHUWATCH with U」のキュレーションを担当いたします。
その圧倒的なビジュアルイメージと精神性を起点に、NANZUKAとゆかりの深い国内外12名のアーティストが、それぞれの視点や表現を通して“ウルトラマン”を再解釈します。

NANZUKA is pleased to announce the curation of a new exhibition, “SHUWATCH with U,” celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Ultraman series. The exhibition will be held at PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO (Shibuya PARCO 4F) from Friday, July 3rd to Monday, August 3rd, 2026.
Taking this profound visual imagery and spiritual essence as a point of departure, 12 acclaimed artists from Japan and abroad, all closely affiliated with NANZUKA, will reinterpret the concept of “Ultraman” through their respective viewpoints and creative practices.
