From an unworn summer kimono, I created a longyi-inspired wrap skirt. ✨

The kimono was unpicked and opened into a tube shape, then two ties were attached at the waist. Simply wrap it around your waist, create a few tucks wherever you like, and tie the ribbons—your own easy and comfortable wrap skirt is complete! ❣️

Every kimono remake starts with carefully unpicking the original garment… and honestly, that part can be quite a challenge! 🤭

ロンジー風スカートを制作。
筒状に剥いでウエストに2本の紐身縫い付けて。
ウエストに巻きつけ、ラップスカートの出来上がり❣️
好みの位置でタックを取って、リボンで結ぶ。
楽チンスカートの出来上がりです❣️

リメイクは着物を解くところからスタート。
解くの結構大変なんです🤭

暑い夏はスカートやブラウス、パンツが楽ちんで涼しい。
インドネシアのシルクの織物で作ったスカートと手提げバッグ。
これは生地持ち込みのオーダー物。
二つ目は小千谷の浴衣で巻きスカートとブラウスで私用^ ^
どちらも涼しくてかわいい💕

The first skirt and matching tote bag are made from beautiful Indonesian silk fabric,
A custom-made piece created with fabric provided by my friend.

The second outfit is made from Ojiya yukata fabric, transformed into a wrap skirt and blouse—this one is for me. 😊

Both are cool, comfortable, and oh-so-cute! 💕

We transformed it into a wrap skirt, making sure to highlight the gorgeous, intricate pattern on the hem. Seeing her so happy filled our hearts with joy! 🥰

Giving new life to a treasured heritage. 🕊️ I’ve remade a formal Kuro-Tomesode kimono into a modern wrap skirt.
I carefully placed the gorgeous large crest right in the front, balanced with traditional patterns that naturally catch the eye as you move.
The elegant texture and the way it flows when I walk are absolutely stunning. I can’t wait to style this unique piece with simple sweaters or t-shirts!
