When his soup was eaten right before his eyes, paraplegic soup connoisseur Simone Monne decides to take up cooking on a mission to reach the most remote soup school in the world, The Himalayan School of Soup Mastery. There he learns of the greedy corporate soup figurehead, Mr. Splender and his intentions of driving up the global price of soup for his benefit, by driving out the local Himalayan’s. In exchange for a life saving surgery that would allow him to walk again, Simone begins crafting the World’s greatest soup, by befriending the locals, and stealing the knowledge of their soup mastery. While Simone truly begins to gain the locals trust, he falls in love with a beautiful Himalayan princess, Bidera, and turns on Mr. Splender to save the Himalayan’s way of making amazing soup. The relentless Mr. Splender fights back, and an epic battle for the fate of the soup commences.

The rain came in sheets, as if the floodgates were being quickly opened and closed. There seemed to be no end to this downpour. The streets were flooding, the grass, which had gotten so green was now becoming a muddy bog, and the frogs who once embraced this wet summer were starting to prune up like fingers soaking too long in the tub. Thankfully there is respite from this onslaught of moisture in a little place called Van Son, where the soup is always ready to warm up your soaking soul.

Another soup from Ramen Nagi. This is probably one of the most unique bowls of ramen I’ve ever had. An Italian fusion, with mixed cheese, bacon, and fresh basil. It almost tasted more like a pesto spaghetti than ramen, but the uniqueness is definitely appreciated.

This was the fourth stop on a Tokyo ramen tour. This ramen restaurant, Ramen Nagi, had four very interesting ramen bowls to choose from in four different colours and four different flavours. Red, green, black and white. The red king was spicy and topped with a bit of yakiniku sauce. I would definitely recommend going to this place if you are ever in Tokyo.

Yokato Yokabai Ramen is a little restaurant in Montreal resembling a classic Japanese style ramen shop. They have an incredible selection of toppings to go on their ramen as well as noodles and broth types. With the exception of the French, the style of this place really brought me back to being in Japan.

This ramen is from Arashi restaurant in Okinawa. Reasonably spicy, but damn Arashi is good. Once again I urge someone to open a franchise over here in North America.

With similar vibes as Honolulu, Naha in Okinawa seems much like the Hawaii of Japan. Tropical, yet urban with the relaxing vibes of island life. This ramen spot, Ryujin, on one of the main strips in Naha had some incredible ramen. We tried 3 of the 4. More to come. Ryujin (aka Ryu-o) is the dragon king, sea god, and master of serpents in Japanese mythology. ... Ryujin is often associated with or considered the same as Owatatsumi-no-kami, another water deity or Shinto kami (spirit), better known as Watatsumi.

Very authentic tasting Udon soup from a restaurant called そば料理長寿庵蕎匠 in the Sumida area in Tokyo. I’m not sure Udon as grown on me yet, but I will keep getting it until my palette is in love.
